I don't think going back to the office should even be discussed in the same breath as productivity. Who knows? Who cares? The only reason to go back is because when people are in the same space, they are more likely to form friendships, and friendships 1) make life and work better, 2) come in handy when disagreements occur, and 3) spark conversations where innovation happens.
