This is the first New Year’s Eve since 2001 where one of my goals for the year ahead is not to write my bloody book, as it is written! 2025 is the year I’ll publish and be damned. Happy New Year. May you be doing a job you love and being paid the salary you so richly deserve.

Permitted work is what saved me and helped my recovery. If it still exists it is not promoted enough and is a great tool for those who want to keep their skills up to date or try a work situation. #Dispatches

When I went back to work, the advisor in the job centre suggested I tick the box and I am SO pleased I did. Within 12 months I was told by the hospital to give up work. I fought against bad health but in the end I had to succumb. it took years to get to me as well as I am now

There is a special kind of wonderful feeling and excitement for winning in the second round of the FA Cup. Knowing you’re going to play in the third round, could get drawn to a Premier league side, but whatever. I wish I could bottle up this feeling PROUD TO BE A DAGGER #daggers
