I listened to Starmer with a degree of incredulity & even more distain. He is making farmers, yes farmers, the enemy of the people. A horrendous tactic which I believe will backfire badly.

At some point this ābiggest budget in the history of farmingā needs to be fully called out for what it is- namely clap-trap. Is this the best the HoC can expect from a Prime Minister? Is this a case of being economic with the truth? #farmingmatters @NFUtweets
That Ā£5b over 2 years is the same since 2014 but with inflation and coupled with the de-linked payments they have reduced by 76%, the government have actually reduced the farming budget, the lowest in 10 years.
