This is an interesting idea for assessing and comparing the efficacy and side effects of POPs. "Inhibition ratio (I.R.) and transformation index (T.I.): new indexes to compare the effectiveness and clinical behaviour of modern progestin-only pills (POP)"

Don't look if you're overly squeamish. Long story short- menstrual discs hold most at 80mls, pads, tampons and menstrual cups hold 20-60mls, period underwater only 2mls. This is truly useful research.
