Was informed this evening that I passed our Chief Supts board. Feeling a mix of happiness, excitement and tiredness! Am really honoured to help lead our brilliant teams. Thank you

This is PD Orbit.
The average human can run at 18 mph. Orbit runs at 32 mph
The average human has 400 smell receptors. Orbit has 225 million
Orbit's bite pressure is 238 psi.
They are called landsharks for a reason.

My other has Nan passed away this morning from Covid caught when she was in hospital. Very difficult to lose both so quickly especially as Covid has denied us time with them as a family. Please do your level best to protect yourselves and those around you. RIP beautiful lady x
Whether it is expenses, second home flipping, alleged sexual misconduct or porn on computers , there seems to be no acknowledgement of a change in professional behaviour needed or learning from past mistakes. Too many times it seems to be attempts to justify poor decisions.
My beautiful Nan passed away yesterday morning following a long illness. We were not able to hold her hand in her final days. This is the unseen Covid tragedy. Please follow the advice so we can beat this and say goodbye to our loved ones properly.
Love you Nan. x
Watching
@SkyNews
newspaper review. The Sun is running the story about
@lincspolice
introducing 2 wellbeing days for our staff. Sadly it is being mocked as "yoga-loving" cops. Lame and lazy journalism. Clearly caring about staff is not important to some newspapers...
I've been reading and listening to a lot of the coverage around me the sentencing of the Rotherham rape trials. Can all media pleas report it responsibly. One victim did NOT sleep with over 100 men before she was 16. She was RAPED.
Am sad to report the PD Kolt passed away this morning. He was with his human family at the time. Rest easy furry brother, your duty has finished.
@LincsPoliceK999
@LincsPolice
Have just received this lovely hamper from Lincolnshire Police Charitable Fund to "aid my recovery"! Thank you.
The fund help support serving and retired staff through difficult times...from a hamper like this through to respite assistance. A wonderful scheme
@LincsPolice
My thoughts on the present armed policing crisis:
1. policing must always be accountable for our actions and this may include being subject to criminal investigations. Thats part of being in a functioning democracy.
2. I was an Authorised Firearms Officer for 5 years.
Just got my CSupt board result....didn't get a job this time but if there had been more roles available I would have so mixed feelings. A tad disappointed but I get to stay with an amazing team a while longer. Every cloud and all that!
We currently have 48 people in custody across Lincolnshire....22 for assaults, 10 for drink drive, 8 for public order, 3 for damage, 2 for sex offences, 2 for stolen vehicle and 1 for warrant...some very tired cops...thanks to all
#policingwithPRIDE
26 years since cohort 8/97 started at police HQ Lincolnshire. 26 years of fun, heartache, exhilaration and challenge. 26 years of winging it with my best mate. Still the best job in the world.
@ItsChrisDavison
Last month we:
Arrested 131 drivers for drink drive
Issued 203 speeding tickets
and 88 seatbelt tickets.
48 drivers were caught using a mobile phone.
These are the
#fatal4
we talk about. This is simply not acceptable in our county. Cut out the
#fatal4
+ we would be alot safer.
Have passed my Strategic Firearms Command course. Challenging week and good inputs. Now time to start mentoring process and become operationally competent.
I've have thought long and hard about posting this as it relates to our family in a very personal way. But hopefully it will encourage others...8 years ago we adopted our first child, Marika, from Nepal. She was malnourished, was an orphan and was living in squalid conditions 1/3
3/3 Today her school report reads that the highlight of the year was when she stood in front of her class and explained where she is from, how proud she is of her heritage and how she intends to help others. The right support, environment and love can conquer all.
Had reports of several places around the county feeling like normal in terms of people out and traffic.
People - THINK. This is not a holiday, people are dying. A friend of mine's father passed away yesterday...in Lincolnshire from this.
THIS IS REAL.
STAY AT HOME
@LincsPolice
Today Mrs T and I celebrate 25 years together. The most wonderful and understanding person I have ever met and am so blessed that she decided to stick with me!. Date night tonight😊
We have taken lots of calls today reporting cafes, pubs and restaurants being open as normal. Only takeaway food is allowed. To all those opening and those going to these places..STOP. Follow instruction and help us protect your community
@LincsPolice
Just reading about the £43M of public money spent on the Garden Bridge that was never built...10% of that would have ensured
@lincspolice
having a standstill budget for 19/20 and have benefitted 750000 residents in Lincolnshire......crazy world.
Just seen some of the budget headlines....an extra £500 million for preparations for brexit and nothing for mainstream policing.....good grief! What a mess we are in!.
Have spent the day at home today after 10 straight days on. I've pulled together a new strategic document to handle the effects of coronavirus at home....
Some interesting facts about use of Taser in Lincolnshire over the past 12 months:
1. Taser was available at the scene where force was used on 3094 occasions
2. It was drawn but not fired in 435 of these occasions.
3. Fired 44 times
Another one of our patrol vehicles was rammed this morning. 2 officers with minor injuries. Stolen vehicle believed involved in burglaries. Two males arrested nearby. Welfare being placed around officers- thank you.
We buried these two wonderful ladies this week...one was a machine gunner protecting the anti aircraft balloons in WW2, the other left school at 14...she did her GCSEs in her 70s. Two strong women who we will never forget. We love you Nans. xx
It's been quite a 24 hours for me. Unusual aches in my legs + 1 leg started to swell. I put it down over doing it. Eventually got so bad I went to hospital. Blood clots!
Thankfully now on the mend but should have got it checked out sooner. If in doubt check it out!
#stubbornness
Mrs T excitedly took this pic from tonight's news and shared with friends...proud of husband?....
She was pleased as punch that her handmade bunting was on BBC1.
I love you Mrs T ♥
In Feb 21 we launched
#OpSnap
...enabling public to upload dashcam footage to assist roadsafety in Lincs. In last 3 months:
235 submissions
95 warning notices issued
67 prosecutions
Our roads will become safer because of this. More detailed review soon

Have had the pleasure of congratulating PC Paul Dowman on his retirement from
@LincsPolice
after 25 years as an authorised firearms officer. Hes the one that used a spare roll of wallpaper to get dressed in. Thanks Paul...you'll be missed.
Am Gold commander for our force response to
#COVID19
. We are working tirelessly to maintain our services across the county. My thanks to all our staff who are just brilliant in times like this.
@LincsPolice
It was the final day with
@LincsPolice
for Andy Ham. He has served as a cop and civilian for 37 years and has been in event planning dept for the last 4 years. He retires with our best wishes. I will miss his regular football banter (he supports LUFC). Take care Andy
On this day 23 years ago I joined policing. Would I have changed anything? Absolutely not. I get to work with great people, see the best and worst in others + still get a buzz from going to work each day. These are challenging times, but to my colleagues...remember why you joined
Just been dealing with a member of the public and a 7 year old waited patiently to ask me whether I was having a nice day. It's the small things that count.
#CityCoastBusy
2 days ago in a 40 mph limit in Woodhall Spa we dealt with motorists who were speeding...
68 mph
70 mph
76 mph
Burton Road Lincoln 30 mph limit...
51 mph
Unacceptable and dangerous. We will continue to enforce around this because we care.

Very humbled to have been nominated to attend Buckingham Palace today. Thanks to
@lincspolice
and Superintendent colleagues. Mrs T is particularly excited.😊
College are saying that perhaps they are misunderstood and not many really understand the work they do. Perhaps the college could consider a clear PR strategy aimed at rank and file and not the perception that it's an extension of Home Office
#supers2018
I've just had some negative feedback about my heritage and parental status from someone whom I've just extended their time in custody...swings and roundabouts!
Had the pleasure of celebrating the career of an officer who has sadly had to retire early on medical grounds. he has no wish for the limelight so I'll just say this: His courage, tenacity and humility will be an example I will aspire to for the rest of my days. Thank you Garry.
My blood clots have returned but caught early and was given very sympathetic care last night. Sounds obvious but Emergency Health Care is such a challenging environment but full of very special people.
Thank you
@PASHFT
@NHSCambs
As an outsider am I allowed to question why the event still takes place in its current format? It seems the same roll-call happens each year...100s arrested, multiple serious injuries, reports of crushing. How do SAGs influence this, who is the "organiser"? Seems unsafe.
I've just been made aware of some members of our public verbally abusing safety camera van operators today. This is completely unacceptable...these staff are contributing to keeping our roads safe. Grow up baffoons. Btw they have video images we will be viewing.

...final CT scan before starting back a phased return to work on Monday. The skills and care of NHS has been exemplary. Am really looking forward to seeing colleagues abd hopefully contributing.
@colleenrattigan
In Lincs the NHS have a contingency plan to ensure no vaccines are wasted. it starts with health and social care staff who are still waiting. Policing along with Fire are on the list too. Nothing will be wasted here.
Proud to have my Grandfathers war medals from WW2. He also has a letter from field marshal Montgomery. Always in debt to his and his generations sacrifice. Not glorifying war but virtue of sacrifice for others.
#LestWeForget
Seeing the on going commentary around govt computers and "legal" pornography. Surely the issue is the use or allegedly misuse of publicly funded equipment by public officials and standards that every public servant should adhere to?
Just settling down at home after being tactical commander for today's football match.Excellent policing and work with
@LincolnCity_FC
prior to match,we have policed it with the fewest cops in a number of years + 0 football related arrest. Thanks to
@T_ACCShaunWest
@LincsPolFooty
So 2 take away points.
1. Have faith in BOTH doses of the vaccines...they save lives
2. If you feel unwell and know something isn't right following your vaccine, SEEK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.
Don't be "brave" and pretend rest will sort it. Your loved ones won't thank you for it.
What does this tell us?
1. Our officers are well equipped
2. They utilise the skills and equipment they have
3. They are NOT gung-ho
4. They make good decisions in very difficult circumstances
5. Taser is a deterent as well as a use of force
@LincsPolice
2/3 we brought her back to the UK understanding there would be difficulties and challenges around race, identity, heritage and some bigotry. my wife and I showered her with love, encouraged her free-spirit character and taught her to respect others + be proud of who she is.
Force Covid-19 Gold today. Really pleased to report that the message around staying at home is being observed in large parts of the county. still getting reports of smaller groups congregating in parks.
STAY INDOORS AND SAVE LIVES
@LincsPolice
5. Finally the concept of "honest held belief" that is fundamental to Firearms officers decision-making in complex fast moving moments has been eroded recently. This basis must be maintained. No other split-second decision by public servants are scrutinised as thoroughly...
A couple of important things I want to share with you over the next few posts.
9 weeks ago I had my first Covid-19 vaccination and was pleased to have received it.
8 weeks ago I started to experience breathlessness. I'm relatively fit and was starting to struggle with stairs..
Just finished my last day as East Area Commander...had lunch with my SMT and received a lovely gift and card from many officers on East. Thank you all. Now looking forward to starting my new job as Specialist Ops Supt (that's all the Gucci toys stuff!). Will miss you East.
@Ryanair
@T_ACCShaunWest
@_SJPeace_
As a cop you're right to refer incident to police.....but what about your own policy around ejecting disruptive passengers? That in itself is not a police matter.
Happy Easter to everyone. I am praying this morning that our God will use the skills He has given us and our common sense to defeat this crisis. I know many of you may not believe what I believe, but His love for me is what keeps me going.
Stay safe.
A monumental effort by NHS Lincolnshire and
@LincolnshireEP
to get this ready. It will be part of the vaccination solution for Lincolnshire folk. We'll done all 👏👏👏
BREAKING: Lincolnshire is to get a large-scale covid vaccination centre.
It will open on Monday at Boston's Princess Royal Sports Arena and will vaccinate up to 1,500 people a day from across Lincolnshire.
Said goodbye to PC Lee Wright who retired today after 30 years service in Lincolnshire. As one of our F/Arms tactical advisors Lee has help me and others to plan and deliver excellent firearms responses to sone very high threat incidents. Thank you Lee...pleasure working with you
Into my second week of leading Lincolnshire Specialist Ops resources...have been made to feel really welcome..great teams working really hard for our public....and there's no getting away from the fact that dogs are just great....all my kids are interested in now are police dogs.
Outstanding leadership from
@BTPChief
in face of misogyny, homophobia and bullying. Karen has proved her worth as a leader, commander and copper over 30 years. Great appointment. Haters can do one.
Watched footage of the watch manager giving evidence at grenfell enquiry...really uncomfortable to see a public servant leader in tears about a situation that at the time was out of his control. Lessons should be learnt but we mustn't forget that LFB went there to save lives.
Great to see PC Irving and her dog PD Fletcher qualifying for operational deployment. Well done Donna. Another piece in the jigsaw for front line policing in Lincolnshire
@LincsPolice
@LincsPoliceK999
Great work by
@LincsARV
, our control room staff and local policing officers overnight. I authorised a static stop following the pursuit of a tractor. It had the potential to cause severe damage and was a risk to life. 1 in custody and minimal damage to police vehicles.
BBC News - Russian spy: Nerve agent 'used to try to kill' Sergei Skripal
Praying for those in hospital particularly the police office who will have been responding to what appeared to be a routine concern for safety - nothing routine about being a cop.
Over 500 deaths from Covid in past 24 hours....its a killer. If 500 people were dying on planes each day no one would board one. Yet I see so many people ignoring covid measures.

Folks...just a brief update on
#ProjectEDWARD
We engaged with 100s of drivers, issued 39 tickets for speeding, 36 warnings and revealed other offences such as no insurance. Most importantly we had massive support from our local communities-thank you. Let's keep Lincolnshire safe
The actions of a few have been nothing short of a disgrace.
@LincsPolice
WILL deal with these incidents. We have some outstanding people wanting to assist with testing and vaccination. Let's give them all of our support.
Brilliant, brilliant piece in
@thetimes
today. Yet again
@policecommander
nails it. In the time it takes to drink a cuppa, he has explained why policing is so complex and important today and why we are a force for good and should be accountable to others...appropriately.
Had the pleasure of congratulating PC Andy Bridges on his retirement. 18 years as an AFO and roads policing constable....a skill set we will find difficult to replace. Thank you Andy for your service.
@lincspolice
So....a big shout out to the gorgeous Mrs T and my daughter. Today they have been taking dozens of Easter eggs to our local care homes. Thanks to
@BourneBaptist
and
@Tesco
for the donations.

On behalf of
@CCLincsPolice
I was pleased to present some of our
@LincsARV
crews Chief Constable commendations in recognition of their bravery and team work bringing violent criminals to justice last. They're camera shy so no photos...yet😉 Well done
@LincsARV
Something very profound seeing the military assistance and a them creating a rainbow...which for anyone who went to Sunday school will know that it was a sign of new beginnings and hope.
a world-class justice system that is independent of political influence and keeps at the heart of it communities and public servants who go where others fear to tread.
