Chris makes an excellent point: you are only given a certain amount of time for each test, so don't waste it pondering a question that you truly don't know. Go through the entire test and answer all of the Qs that you know first, "flag" the ones you're uncertain of, then go back!

1) D, neither. The lower rad hose contains the spring, and you replace the thermostat when it's faulty (according to ASE) though I tend to replace them with timing belt and water pump jobs, thus, every 90k minimum is accurate for me personally 😉
