The quietest place on Earth is an anechoic chamber at Orfield Laboratories in Minnesota. The space is so quiet that the longest anybody has been able to bear it was an entire 45 minutes.

1 goal and we’re sitting in 14th (should have been joint 11th) History tells us that even the worst sides score around 30 goals per season. Last season :- Saints 26 Ipswich 36 Leicester 33 I still believe we’ll be good for 40+ goals this season and a GD -15 We’re good

Forever the Optimist…….. FWIW if I had been offered 4 points from 4 at the start of the season then I’d have taken it. We are shooting, we’re just not converting. We’re trying to implement around 11 new players while playing against established PL teams. We’re okay 🆗

Encouraging 1/2 for us. There will be goals in this side but I’m enjoying the midfield and defensive aspects of what we have assembled. Okafor looks decent, dare I say a bit of a Raphinha swagger about him?

We’ve got what we’ve got (pending any free agents) Could have been a lot worse had we made panic signings in January as a lot of people wanted. FWIW I think we are stronger as a group and we have enough to stay up We don’t need to score 100 goals but we will need 45ish

If we went in to deadline day with all our hopes on signing Harry Wilson then that would suggest to me that we were never going to bring anyone in, especially given that we allegedly met the asking price at the weekend.

Safety in the PL normally looks a bit like GF 50 GA60 GD-1 *not an exact science Where are the 50 goals coming from? Can we get the GA down to 50 and take pressure off the GF? we have thrown our seasons strategy at defensive solidity & counterattacking / set pieces

Not sure what makes me feel most sick? Fact we couldn’t spend another £40M on a couple of players today Or fact we’ve spent over £100M and it’s seen as not enough🤷🏼♂️ I think I’ve lost sight of how ludicrous the money in football is and the joy will be stripped out by VAR
