So I’m seeing big accounts and FCs joining in this new trend requesting 9Stars to clarify all the uncertainties that arose in the past few days. While I can appreciate the intention to seek answers and reassurance from the studio… I find myself unable to support this initiative. I feel that when we intentionally start a trend, the point is to draw in positive attention to Faye or Yoko, and by association, 9Star. The hope is to catch the attention of people, brands, and opportunities from outside the fandom. And this trend that was started… it’s not about bringing awareness within the fandom coz we all know what’s going on, I think instead it will end up bringing negative attention from the outside to the girls. There are many claims by fans that they are here to stan Faye and Yoko, not the company. So when they perceived unjustified treatments to the girls, they feel the need to advocate for them. First of all, Faye and Yoko are fully functioning adults that know what signing a contract with a studio means. They know what options they can exercise if they feel they are in a situation that is harmful to them. Fans caring is a nice sentiment, but I think their interference is unnecessary. Secondly, I’m surprised that many still believe they can love and support FayeYoko while at the same breath are attacking/criticizing their company simultaneously. I don’t mean everyone that loves FayeYoko must also love or support the company, at the same time, you can’t actively go sabotage them. Let me put it this way, you love your wife, but you don’t like her parents… what are you gonna do? You’re gonna tell anyone willing to listen that you don’t like them? You’re going to complain and chastise your in-laws over things you disagree with? No. Maybe you’d tell your wife in private but what she chose to do about her parents is her call. And most definitely you’re gonna stay respectful. At the core of all of this… I really believe the most important question everyone should be asking isn’t “what’s 9Star doing with Faye and Yoko?” Instead everyone should be asking “why is it so important for me to know?” I think the answer this question will lead to some enlightenment to our priorities in life. The energy and emotions people are investing in things they cannot control could be better focused on things we can control. Like adding views to FayeYoko’s content, keep hyping them up positively in any opportunities we get, vote for them in events, etc. Or, choose to take a break from all of this. It’s better to walk away, regroup and come back when you’re ready than to actively keep feeding the negativity. Anyway, I’m gonna go back to rewatching the latest vlog and vote on KCL. 🤷🏻‍♂️
