After a month of getting nowhere with Twitter re Sundog acct after it was compromised I've accept defeat & have changed this account to Sundog. I'll post all usual previews etc thru here. I've now 8K less followers than before! Please all RT this to help me get some back! Thanks!
Davis Riley wins for us at 200/1.
It’s been a really poor yr to date but this turns it right around.
Cos of all the stuff I’ve had going on obviously I didn’t post till Tuesday so hopefully those who follow me picked up on selection & were onboard.
Well done to those who were.
I’ve seen some things in my time but Xander getting a free drop there I think is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen watching golf.
He should hang his head in shame for even asking for it.
Seen a lot of people piling in to the Valspar this week for various reasons.
All I see heading in to Sunday is 26 players within six shots of the lead on a fantastic course which can’t be overpowered & where there is a premium on fairways & greens.
How golf should be.
Hi all, here is my main Sundog PGA preview. As always feedback/thoughts welcome.
Also really appreciate the RT’s as I try to get my following back after the twitter shenanigans!
If I could get another 500 back before tee off that would be great! Thanks!
We have a new Desert Fox. Arizona native McCarty wins for us in Utah at 50/1!
A superb performance from him, just totally at home in the conditions.
Well done if you were onboard.
I’m off to bed!
Hi all, here is my Sundog US Open preview. As always appreciate the feedback and the RT's. Particularly appreciate the RT's this week as I continue to piece my twitter following back together. Thanks!
No idea why this continues to be a discussion with ‘Gooch example’ always brought up.
Gooch chose to leave mainstream golf to play an exhibition format, which doesn’t & never has met OWGR points criteria.
In return he’s earned 18mill + in 1yr so amply compensated. End of story.
I’ll save anyone the hassle of reading this. Basically ‘Hadn’t played well enuf to get in to PGA mega bucks events this year so rather than trust my game to play my way in I thought I’d take the guaranteed easy money elsewhere’.
Perhaps it might have been a good idea if A Question of Sport had err…remained a sports quiz, which was hosted by a sportsperson with sportsmen/women on the panel. Just a thought.
#questionofsport
Here is my Sundog Open Championship preview.
Really appreciate the RT's this week, still trying to get back the 6K or so followers I lost last year!
Feedback as always welcome.
Thanks!
We have a winner!
2.5pts e/w @ 25s Davis Thompson gets the job done for us.
Superb performance from him & first win of many no doubt.
Well done if you were onboard!!
Hands down the greatest golf story of 2023.
After everything Camillo Villegas has been through both off & on the golf course for him to win again is incredible. Absolutely wonderful stuff.
Charles Schwab results.
Riley 1st !!!
Spieth 37th

Its been a tough grind this yr but that's the beauty of golf betting, stick to process & never shy away of following hunches with big priced selections!
Here's updated seasons P&L.
Here is my preview of the RBC Canadian Open where my team it is fair to say, is ‘speculative’. An old friend makes a welcome return to the picks as well…
RT’s as always appreciated as I try to get 7500 followers back still! Thanks!
Here is my preview of the Genesis Invitational.
A dangerous thing to say allowing for how 2024 is going so far but not a week for leftfield picks.
As always RT's & feedback appreciated.
Harman may not be a 'sexy name' in the golfing world but you can do nothing but admire how he has played this week. A clinical performance, which if it had been delivered by Tiger in his heyday or Rory, would have had people drooling.
Here is my Sundog preview of this weeks Players Championship where amongst the more obvious shorter priced selections there is one triple digit play I really, really like.
Twitter’s obviously been a bit of a downer for me over past few weeks but have been blown away with the support over past 24hrs. Have added over 1K followers on this acct, which is incredible.
Thank you everyone, I really appreciate the support.
Only another 7K or so to go!!
Superb comments from Mackenzie Hughes, we could do with another 50 like him out there.
Also that 'walk & talk' was another reminder of how good Trevor Immelman is in his CBS role. Shame we don't get to hear more of him over here.
Sunday - Davis Riley wins @ 200s
Monday - Think to myself - ‘I can take some of those winnings from ‘golf pot’ & put them in next yrs ‘US golf trip pot’.
Thurs - Mrs Sundog “the washing machines died, we need a new one, can we get one without dipping in to savings?”…sigh..
I see Niemann shot 59 on LIV. He was & still remains the 1 player I am pissed off went to LIV. A huge talent who should be in the full competitive arena. I hope he finds a way in to the Majors but ultimately only himself (Sergio/bad management advice) to blame if he doesn’t.
We go again! Here is my first preview of 2024 for The Sentry. Plenty of ups & downs ahead for the year I'm sure!
Would really appreciate the RT's to start off the year. I'm determined to get those 7K followers back I lost last year. Thanks!
I can’t be only person who has reached saturation point with all the $ amounts that get bandied around in golf now between LIV/PGA. 500/50 mill for players here & there, 3 billion pots etc.
Really don’t give a crap any more, just shut the fuck about it all & just play golf!! 😡
I’m sure these guys on PGA Tour live feel they need to just come up with something to say about the random guys who come on early in coverage.
Apparently Hayden Buckley has been playing some “sneaky good golf”.
..Hasn’t made either cut this yr & hasn’t posted a top 50 since May…
Black Desert Championship results.
McCarty 1st!!!
KH Lee 46th
Fishburn MC
Laird MC
NeSmith MC.
Pretty poor behind McCarty to be fair but I'll take it!!
Here's the seasons updated P&L.
The kind of thing that infuriates in the coverage. We work out Rahm has won first hole from the roar while we are watching Morikawa twiddle his thumbs on the 1st tee. Why not show the putt live???
A fantastic 2 weeks in US is coming to an end as head home tomorrow.
Seen some brilliant golf with TPC delivering as always & then another superb event this week on a great course.
Have met some g8 people, we’ve had g8 weather & have turned a profit.
Time for a final meal & beer!
Here is my final PGA preview of 2023 for the RSM Classic.
Thank you to all those who have read the previews this year and followed me again after all the Twitter shenanigans! Hopefully we can finish 2023 in style!
Here is my Sundog Open Championship preview. As always feedback welcome. In addition really appreciate the RT’s this week. Still trying to claw back the bulk of my followers from the Twitter fiasco earlier this yr! Thanks!
I once sat next to Boo in a bar In Jacksonville as he tucked in to a v large burrito & told him I’d had a small wager on him for the week ahead & wished him luck.
He looked at me earnestly & said. “You shouldn’t gamble boy”…
Here is the link to final P&L for 23/24 PGA season.
101pts profit. 47 events covered, ave of 12pts staked per event so approx 564pts staked. An 18% ROI approx.
It brings the profit to +580pts approx over 7 seasons.
A big thank u to all who followed!
Hi all,
Still unable to access my
@Sundogmonkey
account so posting my Heritage preview here. Please can everyone RT as don't want people to miss it. Thanks!
Big boots to fill obviously but delighted to be stepping in for
@BenColeyGolf
while he is off.
Here is my Sporting Life preview of the ZOZO Championship.
Here is my John Deere Classic preview.
In the words of Countdown (seminal British quiz show for those in the US) it’s three from the top & one from the bottom.
Back on the saddle. Here is my preview of the 3M Open.
It's been a frustrating six weeks or so with a lot of near misses and disappointing Sunday's. Hopefully this lot can change that this week!
PGA Championship results.
Koepka 1st!!!
Rose T9th
Schauffele 18th

Fleetwood & Jaeger FRL -
A great week in the end!
Here’s the seasons updated P&L which is nicely in profit now.
So after correctly predicting Nicolai Hojgaard to be one of 6 Ryder cup picks,
@WilliamHill
have settled my bet as a dead heat. £100 returned £33.33, great profit I know.
Look at the chats attached to see the incompetence of these people.
RT to hold them accountable!!!
Here is my Valspar preview. At least we have no Scottie to beat us in to second place this week!
Looking forward to another great week on the course. Just need a winner now!
And here is my PGA preview for
@paddypower
. I’ll be back for Paddy on Weds AM with my ‘specials’ piece incl FRL. Had good success with that preview for Masters as landed Rahm in a tie for outright FRL & a full FRL place for Day.
As mentioned earlier no full John Deere preview unfortunately but here are my picks.
All 1/5 1st 8
S Im 3pts e/w 18s
D Thompson 2.5pts e/w 25s
Dahmen 1pt e/w 90s
Kizzire 1pt e/w 125s
R Moore 1pt e/w 150s
Some brief thoughts.
Im trending nicely. Shriners a good link here 1/3
My Puerto Rico picks.
Lashley 35/1
Higgo 35/1
Suh 40/1
Trainer 50/1
Laird 60/1
1.5pts e/w on Lashley, Higgo & Suh, remainder 1pt e/w.
All v straightforward really but some brief thoughts. 1/3
This is the kind of thing that massively irritates me. How about celebrating what looks like being a great maiden win for a hugely talented player. It hasn’t ‘fallen flat’ it’s the beauty of the PGA Tour that anyone can win on their day.
First designated event that’s felt flat. No one’s fault. But no Rahm or Scottie, Rory way back, Spieth MC, and Wyndham Clark with a 4 shot lead with 5 to play. Plus, Quail Hollow is not exactly Riviera. NBA + NHL playoffs too. Will be interesting to see the ratings on this.
John Deere Classic Results
Thompson 1st !!!
Im 12th
Dahmen 46th
R Moore MC
Kizzire MC
Thank god for golfers called Davis this year!
Here's the seasons updated P&L, which i'm pleased to say is looking nice & healthy.
Back in the saddle after a week off, here is my preview of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Must be said I really, really like our headline pick [Really like them all obviously!].
Not sure if anyone else agrees with this but I’m not sure what tournament Dan is watching. I’m watching the one with some of the worlds best battling a superb links test in challenging conditions. A superb spectacle.
Here is my Byron Nelson preview. A week for speculation.
I hugely appreciate all the RT's and follows today. Have got about 300 followers back, 7700 to go!
Please keep re tweeting. Thanks!
@NoLayingUp
Big fan of pod guys but Soly for the love of god please can you stop dumping on PGA Tour each week by constantly saying the event was disappointing/no big name’s in frame etc.
What you r dumping on is the thing u should be celebrating! The strength in depth & 1/3
As previously mentioned no full preview for Wyndham as am away but here are my picks along with some brief thoughts.
J Thomas 33/1
C Davis 40/1
K Streelman 80/1
T Duncan 150/1
R Moore 250/1
All 1pt e/w except JT 1.5pts e/w.
All 1/5 1st 8.
Here is my preview of this weeks BMW Championship.
Hopefully we turned a corner with Schenk's strong performance last week. Looking to finish the season in style!
Is this really a view held by some people? PIP, Wyndham rewards, Aon Risk Reward, massive Fedex Cup pot, smaller/opp field events with big purses. They’ve done everything but stick a sign up on PonteVedra Beach with a wheelbarrow saying “collect your $$$ here”!!
Here is my preview of Cognizant etc, etc..
Seven this week but all at big odds in what it is fare to say is a speculative team. Player write ups slightly shorter than normal A, cos there's 7 & B, its been a v long day!
Here are my thoughts on this weeks Sony Open.
Apologies player write ups a bit shorter than usual due to time constraints today. Same thought process as normal though in finding them & hopefully a winner in there!
I know the old adage of ‘form is temporary, class is permanent’ but a US Ryder Cup team inc JT, Finau, Morikawa & Cam Young doesn’t look anywhere near as invincible now as it did 6 months ago.
This really shouldn't need saying but getting to see Tom Kim, Sungjae & others battling to make cut today is a reminder how integral & compelling a part of pro game the cut is.
It should be a part of every event a year other than Sentry, TC & at a push 1 or 2 more. No debate.
Evening all, here is my Travelers preview. It should probably come with a health warning after last week mind you! Equally tho of course it means we’re due a good week!
100/1 pick Pendrith tied for the lead heading in to the weekend & 60/1 Hadwin & 200/1 Tarren 3 & 4 shots back respectively, what could possibly go wrong!
I’ve actually got a lot of time for Radar. Think he does a great job on the course & fair play to him for being willing to dress up & act the buffoon to bring a bit of humour.
Here are my thoughts on this weeks Arnold Palmer Invitational. Five selections who judging by our past two weeks will contrive a way of finishing a shot out of the places come Sunday!
Here is my Sundog Masters preview. Certainly been a tricky one this but happy with where I've ended up.
As always thanks all for reading & appreciate the feedback and RT's this week.
Back in the saddle, here is my RBC Heritage preview.
Headline pick leapt of the page, although sadly the prices which were about a couple of hours ago have long gone.
Rocket Mortgage preview out within the hour. In the meantime a clue to one of my picks. I’m going with a player who’s results in events finishing in July since 2019 read 16 2 3 3 2 2 4 19 13 11 2.
Fun fact, 3 of the past 6 winners of the Sandersons, including the last 2, finished 25th at Silverado.
Here are my six to go in to battle with this week including a 300/1 shot.
My biggest takeaway of the week though is how refreshing it was to have an event, which rewarded accuracy over big hitting. If only this was the norm rather than exception.
Well done to Xander just too good. Can’t fault Henley tho, bogey free today.
No outright winner for us then but full places to 110/1 Henley & 33/1 Lowry.
Add that to the FRL returns from JT & Noren & it’s a very nice event for us.
Hopefully some of you followed.
Done with that Signature event nonsense for the year, it's time for the serious stuff.
Here is my Rocket Mortgage Classic preview an event only to be topped by next weeks John Deere.
It's a week for speculation.
Here is my preview of the Fedex St Jude Championship.
Three weeks for us to turn around what has been undeniably disappointing summer. High hopes for this lot though!
Hi all, for those who didn’t see me post this earlier no Sundog PGA preview unfortunately. Mother In Law in hospital so time is tight.
My picks are…
Koepka 3pts e/w 16s 1/5 7.
Homa 28s 2pts e/w 1/5 10.
Min woo & An both 1pt e/w 60s 1/5 10
Pendrith 150s 1pt e/w 1/5 8.
Here is my preview of this weeks Tour Championship. selections in both the 'to win Fedex' & 'low 72 hole score' markets.
No doubt this season has been a grind at times so a huge thanks to all who have stuck with the previews.
Absolutely honoured to be invited on to
@DPWorldTour
new weekly Tips podcast to help preview this weeks two events. Here’s a small clip along with links to the full pod. Do give it a listen, there’s some great selections & loads of nuggets of info from the panel!
Curious. Do you think there was any part of Rahm, even a small part, sat at home watching that thinking ‘Shot, I made the wrong move’?
The guys a competitor, have to think he misses the heat of events like that.
Hi all, a quick update, really sorry but no Colonial preview. Mother In Law remains in hospital, a 2hr round trip to visit plus extra stuff I’m taking on means time is stretched & something has to give. If time may put some picks up on here. Hoping to be back next week for Canada
Undoubtedly one of the best Majors if not the best we’ve had in a long time.
Pinehurst was incredible & the final round had it all. Can’t wait till they get back here!
Looks like PGA will lose Rahm, Finau & Hatton in space of a couple of weeks. In return it has gained Aberg, Min Woo & Hojgaard so the cycle of golf goes on & it will survive. That said I will be amazed if a deal is not done in coming weeks/months that brings them back together.
Something new for 2022, a brand new golf betting podcast hosted by
@Sundogmonkey
mixing the best weekly PGA tour picks with a great alternative music playlist. Watch this space for how to win a free bet each week & how to help pick tunes for the playlist!
As mentioned earlier no full Houston preview due to traveling today but here are my picks.
Willy Z 18s
T Moore 70s
Champ 125s
Stallings 125s
R Moore 150s
All 1/8 1st 8. All 1pt e/w except Willy Z who is 2.5pts e/w.
A few brief thoughts..
Texas connections always key in TX 1/3
Clark @ Bay Hill, Xander at Sawgrass & now T Moore here, that’s three runner up finishes in 4 events. Add in R Moore finishing 5th @ Valspar & it’s fair to say we are knocking on the door.
Have to think we get one over the line soon!
As mentioned earlier unfortunately no full Shriners preview. Here are my picks tho.
Kizzire 66s
Berger 80s
C Hoffman 80s
Dahmen 150s
Laird 150s
All 1pt e/w 1/5 1st 8.
Some brief thoughts…
Kizzire has a history of winning twice in a short space of time. 1/4
Devastating news as PGA Tour announces that Grayson Murray has died. Murray won his second PGA Tour event back in January at the Sony Open. He was just 30 years old.
Here is my Wyndham Championship preview.
Apologies short of time this week so player write ups shorter than normal.
Hopefully still a winner in there though!
Stumbled across Loudermilk on Netflix a few weeks back & have now got thru all 3 seasons.
Absolute gem of a show. Hilarious, heart warming & a great musical undercurrent.
Everyone needs to watch it so Netflix commission it for new seasons. Can’t believe they won’t pick it up.
An Aberg v Cole dual @ RSM would b a fascinating way to end PGA yr.
Talk about contrasts, in 1 corner u have a ‘can’t miss stud’ out of college with golfing world @ his feet & in other a guy who’s ground thru mini tours for yrs to get where he is.
Where on Team Eric naturally!
