👷🏻‍♂️ Whilst our gritters are treating the roads, they are restricted to travelling at 40mph. Beeping your horns or driving closer to the gritter will not make them go any faster. Please take care & be mindful that our teams are trying to make the network safer for you all to use.

Due to recent bad weather, our priority has been to treat the roads & help keep our county moving. This has resulted in a delay of assessing & repairing road defects, such as potholes. Please bear with us, we’ll get to it ASAP. Any pothole emergencies please call 0345 606 6171.

For those who want to get technical, Adrian is loading up #FatherGritmas with 2.5 tonnes of salt and we’ll be spreading 10 grams per square metre. To ensure the salt sticks, we’ll also be adding brine to the mix! #WinterReady #UnintendedRhyme

Thank you to our employees and partners for working tirelessly today to respond to #StormCiaran . Together we cleared fallen trees and flood water off the highways to enable roads to reopen and get #Suffolk moving again.

Glad to be supporting in the efforts to get our county’s residents vaccinated. Our teams have been out this morning erecting signs for the #VaccinationCentre in #Ipswich . Please remember to only travel if essential - keep our roads clear for those needing to use them! #COVID19

Saturday update - we are currently setting up to deploy several ploughs across the county, in particular East and Central areas. With the increased wind speed over the last 24 hours, there are isolated areas of snow drifts. Please drive to the road conditions 🌬
