Here are the first 3 at-bats in the college career of
@UWSoftball
’s Olivia Johnson as seen on
@FloSoftball
tonight. 3 for 3. 2 home runs. A triple. 5 RBI. Hit the ball to left, center and then right.
@pac12
softball teams better watch out!
Excited to announce that I’ll be joining the
@RamblersMBB
radio crew as the new pregame-halftime-postgame host + fill-in PxP/color if needed.
Should be a fun 1st season in
@atlantic10
@A10MBB
. Looking forward to getting started on November 7!

I think people in the comments are misunderstanding. She doesn’t want it to be said “this next match is a women’s match” or “the women’s segment” or the “women’s main event”. I don’t think she’s implying that women should be wrestling men regularly.
Tonight is 1 of the biggest broadcasts of my career & it’s the marquee game in MCBB.

Dayton is in Chicago to battle Loyola, with the teams tied for 2nd in the A-10, 1-game behind 1st place Richmond!
Watch on ESPN2, but turn the sound down & sync us up on
@Rambler_SN
I created a Discord server for
#SportsAnnouncers
where you can discuss the business, network & talk about sports in general. Could be a great tool for PxP, analysts, PA announcers, TV, radio, etc. DM me if interested in joining.

Sounds great but… the school needs a head coach in place ASAP for recruiting and transfer portal purposes. The 2023-24 college basketball season basically started today.
Headed home from Florida. My 2023-24 broadcast year has wrapped up.
Since August 17, I’ve racked up 147 play-by-play broadcasts. My busiest and most successful 9-month period of my career!
Time for a little rest, but by July 15 I’ll probably be ready to go again!
About to take off from Newark back to Chicago. My first season on the broadcast crew for
@RamblersMBB
in the books. Not the result we hoped for but a fun season nonetheless. It’s been great being a part of the Loyola family!
Incredible. A guy negotiating with me to work some games said that I'm "allowed" to work "pro-bono" or at a "reduced rate" and if I did, he'd put me ahead on the schedule and bump others off. Big time yikes. No thank you. Awful practice.
@John_Karalis
@FiveLeafClover4
It was the ref attempting to hold him back…so contact was imitated by the official. Tatum just said get off me I’m fine lol.
I was a part of my 22nd broadcast of 2023 today with my role as host for the
@RamblersMBB
radio crew. Loyola beat George Mason 69-61. Even with the team’s struggles, the arena was sold out today and the student fans showed up in full support!
I will announce 1 thing today since it's technically official ... Excited for a larger role w/
@IlliniAthletics
as
@BigTenNetwork
StudentU Talent Coordinator. While I'll still do PXP for select
@BigTenPlus
games, I will work directly w/ student broadcasters on scheduling,
Listened back to our entire
@Rambler_SN
broadcast of the Dayton game synched with the TV broadcast. My thoughts:
1)
@_itsCT
& I bring a certain amount of “homerism”’ without going too crazy, & we give credit/be critical when it’s due.
2) We get on the refs at times, but I
@JoeVasilePBP
I see that you cropped out the email address for the posting. It would be a shame if they got flooded with a bunch of angry emails about unfair practices and ruining our business.
Was lucky enough to visit the broadcast booth as a kid (with an awesome bowl cut) to meet Jerry Remy and Sean McDonough.
Never knew that one day I’d get multiples chance to broadcast/announce from the same press box.

This event features teams from the MAC, MVC, CAA, A-10 etc and there's going to be an unpaid intern doing the color analyst work. Ridiculous.
@cryptcreeperz
@foofighters
@WUTangKids
Teams/stadiums/arenas pay licensing fees and in turn are able to play whatever music that covers. So they don’t get permission technically, but royalties are paid.
Tough final week… but to broadcast 33 games for
@Rambler_SN
and for
@RamblersMBB
to win 23 of them…that’s pretty darn good!
Throw a championship and a postseason berth in there… that’s a good first year as the PXP voice of a team.
Can’t wait for 2024-25!
Yes. This. Also, please consult your SID and broadcasters about the design of the website. Simpler is better. Too many darn dropdowns and gigantic images with nowhere to click and important information hidden.
ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT WEBSITES. 80% of the traffic is broadcasters, right? You’re not surfing your favorite team’s site besides for a webcast or tickets.
All that to say SIDs are listed too far down the staff directory. AD & VPs can stay at top, but then it needs to be the SIDs.
But seriously this is awesome news for women's lacrosse. Don't forget there's college games on TV coming up tomorrow on
@ESPNU
and
@FS1
.

For those
@LoyolaRamblers
fans who were wondering; Yes I will be back on the PXP 🎙️ for about 75-80 games in 2024-25 between 📺 & 📻
@Rambler_SN
!
Talk to you all on August 15 for the
@RamblersWSOC
season opener!
@DreSteady3_0
@WrestleTix
This is the first time AEW is going back to this arena since the first show. Jan 2022 they did two DC shows and it was 3,900 (Dynamite) and 2,800 (Rampage). Oct 2022 another 2 and both were under 3,500. So this show will have a bigger crowd but a larger arena.
We are over 50 now in our
#SportsAnnouncers
@discord
server. I'd like to give out 10 more invites today! DM me if interested. For PxP, Analysts, PA Announcers, TV/radio anchors, etc. to network, discuss the biz & whatever else comes up!

4 broadcasts. 4 different sports.
Last Saturday it was volleyball. Friday it’s basketball. Saturday, tennis. Sunday, wrestling.
Versatility is key.

i was laughing along with the times podcast article like everyone else, and then this line cut deep - as someone who spends three hours a day on trains in two states to get to work. don't think i'd listen to podcasts at all if my whole two-way commute was under an hour.
