@JAtanackov the january first substorm was pretty great!! I witnessed aurora not unlike the oct 10th aurora, for around 10 minutes until it slowly receded beyond the horizon

@JAtanackov it wasn't very visible by eye though, and my brother couldnt see it at all

@JAtanackov I would probably say bortle 3 - I went to tenerife and I definitely know it was darker than a bortle 4 or 5, but it also definitely wasn't bortle 1. Though, we were there at a time where the milky way didn't rise high into the sky

@JAtanackov i feel like somewhere like southern norway can get similar amounts of auroral displays as arctic norway, just more towards the northern horizon, but I'd be hesitant to call it high latitudes still
