Grand tour update! It went a bit wrong today. We stayed too long in Alnwick Castle . Missed Howick and Beadnell and pigged out on kippers in Craster . So we were not fit to raid Dunstanburgh . We took a ship to the Farne Islands and overnighted here in the Olde Ship Seahouses

Years ago I stayed on a farm near Troutbeck Windermere . I had breakfast with the farmer and his family . Full English but with the addition of a fried cheese sandwich ! Unusual but nice !

Sycamore Gap Tree . This might be possible ? Could a crowd funder be raised to provide sufficient funds to have the roots lifted and the ground prepared . They a huge Sycamore tree replanted and made secure with technology . I’m sure such a task could be undertaken ? ❤️
