Tell your matron to inform the management to buy more chairs at Nursing station. When your elders enters the ward and has something to do for your patient, either nurse or doctor, you are to give them sit. If they are asking u for a sit then u a bad ward manager.
If Doctors come for their review and ask you, a skilled Nurse, to surrender your seat for them...and you do, then you are unwise! Holding your seat isn't disrespect, it's self-respect. Nurses deserve equality, not subservience & standing firm is a stance for professional dignity
