It’s with very heavy hearts that we have tragically lost Carter Schoonderwoerd a member of our hockey club. Carter died suddenly & has left us way to early. We are extremely saddened by this news. Our condolences thoughts & prayers are with Carter’s family, friends & teammates.

The @StratWarriors family lost a good one this week. George Van Slyck, long time Director passed away Friday. He was a friend to everyone he met, and loved hockey, the Warriors/Cullitons, stories and life. R I P George, you will be missed.

This afternoon @StratWarriors coach Dave Williams was struck with an errant puck while coaching in a game in Waterloo. Dave was examined at Grand River Hospital and was released and is resting at home. Further details later. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and wellwishes.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Nairn, the first coach of the #Cullitons in 1976/77 and the first Sutherland Cup winning coach in 1977/78. Rest in peace Jack. Our thoughts are with you and your family always.

Next on our "Once a Warrior" is 2x Sutherland Cup Champion Kyle Casey. Casey sits 7th on the Stratford Hockey Clubs all time games played list, and 22nd on the all time assists list. Casey played NCAA hockey at Neumann College where he put up and 146 points in only 108 games.
