On Fri 16th July Charles Happel yr10 took part in the Nottingham British Rowing Junior Champs. In his time trial he was placed in the Final D. It was an epic battle between 6 rowers. Charles was 4th at 500m, 4th at 1000m, 3rd at 1500m & finished 2nd 4s behind the winner!👏

Our Yr 7s are through to the District cup final! They beat Kineton 4-1 in a fantastic team display. SuAS displayed it all, skill, composure, attitude, and class - we played some excellent football out from the back that Pep himself would’ve been proud of...
The girls are through to the Semi-finals of the national schools cup! A competitive 3-3 after full time resulting in a penalty shootout. A fantastic result with MVPs Chloe and Clara, who stepped in goal for the shoot out saving two and scoring one! ⚽👏

We are delighted to announce they were the tournament winners in their age category👑
U15 Boys unfortunately finished 4th.
U14 boys unfortunately finished 3rd in their cup loosing out on 2nd by goals scored!
SuAS invited as guest the private and grammar school U18 tournament. The ladies started off strong with a 6-3 win over SGGS A and continued their form throughout. 9-1 win against KES B, 5-2 win against KES A and the final result 6-0 win against SGGS B.

Nancy had a fabulous Saturday rowing at the Ironbridge Regatta. She made it through two races to the final in the J15 double then later that day she coxed the J15 quad to victory. Here she is in the centre of the picture. Well done Nancy and her squad.

Yr7&8 hockey team lost first game to Princethorpe 4-2. Beat Shottery B 6-0 in second game! Yr8s Izzy and Georgie held the team together well but MVP goes to Bella for putting in keeper kit for very first time and making some great saves! 🏑💪👏

Another fantastic night of indoor athletics, with our reduced yr7 team battling valiantly to place 6th whilst our yr8 team finished 2nd to AGS by just 13 points (a very close finish for indoor athletics!). Well done to all our students involved 👏
Awesome performance from the U14 girls tonight winning the South Warwickshire Hockey Tournament 🏑 2-2 against Kingsley, 2-1 against Shottery and 3-0 against AGS. Amazing debut from Marisa (Yr7) in her first goalkeeping appearance. Great team performance from the girls 👏
Excellent team performance from our Yr9 SuAS Academy team in their first game of the season, beating Campion 4-2 very convincingly. After going 4-0 up with goals from, Callum, Charlie, Jose, and Ciaran - Campion scored 2 late goals, one being a penalty.

Another very dominant outing from our Year 7 boys team tonight, winning 9-0 in their District Cup tie away at Kineton High School. Continuing on from their win earlier in the week, the Year 7s picked up from where they left off, taking an early lead and not looking back.
Results didn’t go our way, but the Yr8 boys did themselves and the school proud with a great attitude! We won 2 drew 2 and lost 2. Everyone of them enjoyed it, and it showed! MVP has to be Adrian - he made Iker Casillas-esque saves that kept us in games ⚽

Our yr8 side ran out 7-2 winners in the 1st round of the ESFA National Cup. The lads raced into a 2-0 lead, before being pegged back to 2-2. Another goal put the lads 3-2 up at half-time before some explosive 2nd half finishing ended up with SuAS running away 7-2 winners ⚽️🏆
Fun netball evening had by all at SuAS. Year 7’s first ever match, two year 8 teams and a year 9 team. Lots of netball debuts, trying new positions and team tactics against Stratford Grammar School. Was great to have support from other students, parents and teachers.

Won 4-0⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ dominant performance and outclassed the opposition. All three Stratford girls played very well and contributed to an excellent team performance.
Our Yr7/8 girls demonstrated their focus in wining the County schools finals. Starting with 4-0 win then an underated run and not conceding until the final. It was a clinical display of 16 team goals and solid defending once again showing class against strong opposition ⚽🥇

Under 14s played 6 won 4 drew 2 to win the 6 a side south warks comp this afternoon. Goals from Daisy, Seren, Millie, Thalia and Kiera helped the girls to remain undefeated across the course of the evening ⚽️
Congratulations Toby in yr9, winning the Warwickshire County Finals in the Road to Wimbledon tournament this weekend.
He now goes through to the National finals, a week long tournament held on the grass courts at Wimbledon in August 👏 🎾

SuAS U15s overcame a spirited Alcester Academy intent on causing a cup upset. An early goal gave the away side a lead which would last to HT. AA scored again before SuAS hit back with 2 quick fire goals to force pens. 3 well taken pens enough to take the home side through 3-1 🏆
