My Labour MP @kirstyjmcneill, having previously voted to keep the two child cap, today voted to scrap winter fuel payments for many pensioners. As a reminder, this is someone who was a director at a children’s charity. It’s amazing what a cushty ministerial salary can do.
My new Labour MP @kirstyjmcneill voted against scrapping the two child cap. Here she is promising Midlothian she “will always fight for your family as if it’s my own.” . I guess that doesn’t include poorer families who have the audacity to have more than two kids. Shameful.

I have no shame in saying that I was absolutely terrified during the pandemic. I was constantly on edge and so anxious about what was happening; and ultimately, I did lose a family member. Nicola’s leadership & communication was one of the few things that helped get me through.
