A very windy and cold trip to Somerset. Dipped the Kentish and the Merlin (again), but saw 2 White-fronted Geese, 28 Cattle Egret and a family of Crane around the Levels @somersetbirds

A lovely Hare and some of the Red-throated Diver at Otterton, then on to the LORP at Budleigh. A Common Sandpiper was flitting about plus a couple of Water Pipit, which remained distant and feeding well, with the usual entourage of Wagtails. @DevonBirds @ClintonDevon

Spotted Redshank on a pool in East Budleigh for a while before it flew off towards the LORP at Budleigh, where I saw it a feeding with Godwit later on @DevonBirds @ClintonDevon

A bit of Velvet Scoter from the cliff top at Otterton. Along with at least 4 Red-throated Diver @DevonBirds

Whatever it's origin, I enjoyed close up views of the female Red-crested Pochard on the pond at NT Saltram, Plymouth. Also a walk to Blaxton Meadows and along the embankment at high tide produced the usual array of waders hauled out @DevonBirds
