As some of you may know I got into Pokemon as a way to cope after my mom passed away in 2016, and I never expected how far it would take me. This weekend was mother's day and the anniversary of her passing which is usually a really hard time for me. 1/2.

If we are going to be consistently getting 1000+ person regionals I think that Pokémon needs to increase prizing. Paying $70 for a tournament, making day 2, playing 15 rounds, and getting nothing feels so bad. Miss when top64 used to get $250, top32 $500 etc.

One thing about Pokémon that I like, is that they are marketing toward the younger generation; naming pokemon things like "chonk" and "smol" & having a character that's a streamer. So if you're 30 years old and think that's lame, then maybe realize this isn't tailored to you.

Now that things have ended here in London, I'll confirm that the rumors are true, and I did decide to stake all of my hard work this year qualifying for day 2 of worlds in Lunatone/Solrock. Even though I went 2-2-2 I don't regret it, and would play the deck again. Here's why:

Calyrex/Palkia getting its own category on play.limitless has me geeked. I work so hard on these decks all season, so to see other people having success with them past just myself, and then watching them grow from a tiny idea I had to like one of the top 5-10 decks feels amazing

Played same 60 as @JessePrker in the @FullGripTCG 1k tournament. Started 4-1 but ended up losing my top cut chances to @TrainerChip. definitely could have made better plays just about every round, but it was nice to shake some rust. This deck is very good but hard to play
