I got let go suddenly from my job of 12 years at the end of last year. I had exactly the same feelings as you. I took a few weeks doing nothing and honestly it was cathartic. I realized how much the job had taken from me and in the end I was relieved. On to the next chapter!

My friend in UT was ultra conservative and voted Trump in 2016. In 2020 he was upset at Trumps’s demeaning language. Said he wouldn’t vote for him again. Seems that the Mormons are more upset with speech than the future of the county.

Unfortunately I think it’s carefully choreographed to divide the conservative support. I’m waiting for the hard stance on abortion form people like Lindsey Graham to hit the headlines to stoke infighting. That type of division caused the losses in 2022. It’s deliberate.
