The Dodgers will not break the regular season wins record because the regular season means absolutely nothing. Itโs all about peaking at the right timeโOctober. Keep crying. #LetsGoDodgers

I just got dรฉjร vu of Roki Sasaki signing with the Dodgers. It feels exactly like the Shohei Ohtani announcementโand it feels great. The Matrix #LetsGoDodgers

All I ever wanted was to see the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the World Series. 2024 made it happen! ๐๐ #LetsGoDodgers

For the Dodger Haters thinking they will go broke from all the deferrals โฆ lol๐
You fail to understand that the Dodgers are run like an investment firm not an MLB team, which makes sense, given that theyโre owned by Guggenheim Partners. Even Andrew Friedman was an investment banker before coming into baseball. Here is why the Dodgers will easily be able to pay for all of the deferrals, using Ohtaniโs deal as an example: Beginning next year they have to put aside $46M per year. Any great investment firm, such as Guggenheim will EASILY get a conservative 7.5% annual ROI on that $46M p/y they are putting aside (investing) for the deferred payments. $46M x 7.5% over 10 years of compounded interest = $94.8M. They pay him the $68M they owe him, theyโre left w/ $26.8M leftover. These are conservative ROI figures, but the real ROI will likely be much higher. Theyโll do this, year after year, with every deferred payment contract, for every player. This doesnโt even cover additional revenue from advertisement, TV deal, tickets, playoff $$, merchandise, etc. The Dodgers formula is simple - defer, invest, it almost pays for itself. Like others say, the โDodgers are printing moneyโ & theyโre not far off from the truth.
