I found that “friends” (through my entire life) would use me for my musical ability to play at wedding etc… and then I’d never hear from them again or hear very little

I’m missing my mom tonight. It’ll be 7 years of her passing at midnight which is in a half hour from now. I was there as she took her last breath and in that moment I not only said goodbye to my mom, but also my best friend. This song was inspired by my emotions tonight.

I’m getting ready to teach piano lessons to the “well elderly” in a nursing home setting. My oldest student is 94 and plays awesome! I’ll be having a piano recital with the residents in a few months and will make sure to post an update.

How do you practice? I’ll go first! I create the best music when it’s quiet and at night. I usually play with the lights off and feel the music. My keys light up so it makes for a great ambiance.
