Appropriately on the eve of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Fr Philip has been teaching the school choir Mike Stanley’s Mass of St Bernadette. This will be one of the Mass settings we use at school masses.

Sunday’s Mass began with the Asperges, and then at post-Mass refreshments the congregation welcomed Torquhil (the Tridentine terrier!).

With the end of the Christmas season we have been able to count our Crib Offering. Thank you to everyone who made a donation, £178 will be sent to support the work of The Friends of the Holy Land. @Social_FHL

A beautiful Procession and Mass for the Feast of Candlemass yesterday, including the addition of of two turtle doves, made by a very talented parishioner, in our crib.

It was a ‘Choir Sunday’ at Holy Trinity this week as we celebrated the Feast of Candlemass. They treated us to Stanford’s Nunc Dimmittis in G, and Elgar’s Ave Verum. We were also joined by Neil from the Diocese of Southwark who is exploring is vocation.

This afternoon whilst entertaining our just preacher to lunch Fr Philip was delighted to meet the Prime Minister, and welcome him to the parish, which is in his constituency.

We have Fr Nicolas CR with us this weekend and as part of his visit he received the renewal of promises of an Oblate of the Community of the Resurrection at this morning’s Mass. It was a great joy to pray for Edward as he renewed his commitment to the Community.
