Many congratulations to Lower Eighth student, Malachi, who has qualified for the GB Olympic trials in 400m freestyle and 100m fly. The trials will be held in London in April and Malachi is the first student to represent SPS Aquatics at these trials.
In the school's old boardroom, Field Marshal Montgomery and General Eisenhower planned the landings, approved by Winston Churchill and King George VI on 15 May 1944. The planning map is displayed in the Montgomery Room.

A phenomenal effort from Mr Milne (2456) in yesterday's London Marathon, running it in 2:20! This time put him as the 4th fastest runner outside the elite athletes and comes just a week after he ran the Brighton Marathon. What an achievement!

The school is aware of the closure of the pedestrian routes on Hammersmith Bridge and is liaising with Hammersmith & Fulham and Richmond Council regarding this. We will share details of plans with our community as we know more.
This year commemorates 50 years of St Paul’s School in Barnes. In 2018 we might feel an expectancy and excitement which they felt then, with our current renovations rising impressively before us. This year we honour the past but hold great anticipation for our future.

St Paul’s Juniors, Seniors and Old Paulines join together for the Act of Remembrance, poignantly repeating the words ‘We will remember them’ from OP Laurence Binyon’s poem ‘For the Fallen’.
Mathematics teacher, Mr Milne represented Great Britain at the 50km World Championships in Romania. He did amazingly well and placed 15th out of 84 elite men in a staggering 2 hours and 56 minutes. His performance helped the GB men’s team to secure third place overall.
We wish the quietness of the school site was replaced by the hustle and bustle of a usual school day but we look forward to welcoming all pupils back virtually next week. (Photographs taken by the Operations Team)

Congratulations to Film and Video Technician, Umbreen Khan, who recently won Gold last month for 4th Degree Patterns at the ITF Union British Taekwondo Championships in Northampton.
And they’re off! St Paul’s rowers, runners and walkers collectively aim to travel the 6,500 miles between the School and Copperbelt Region of Zambia, in aid of Beyond Ourselves, who work with community schools in Zambia. More than £25,000 raised so far - well done!

Today marks the halfway point in our campaign to promote Random Acts of Kindness, and we’ve been around the school trying to acknowledge some of the occasionally unsung heroes who go out of their way to make St Paul’s a friendly, fun and safe place for us all to enjoy.
This week, we are celebrating LGBT+ History at St Paul's with a range of events and initiatives, including the sale of rainbow laces at breaktimes, which pupils are encouraged to wear throughout LGBT+ History Month whilst playing sports to show their support for LGBT+ inclusion.
