Year 2 had a great time last week, designing their own towns. Each group worked as a team to map out their roads and decided where their buildings would go. The children are now looking forward to constructing their 3D buildings for their maps, this week. 🗺️

This week in Science, Year 1 looked at transparent and opaque materials. We had lots of fun experimenting with a torch and finding out the difference!

Year 6 have been planning their ideas for Enterprise Week. We need to plan our activity, decide how to spend our £30 budget, design posters and a slogan, decide on prices and work as a team to create the most profit - it's been a busy couple of days! 📈💰

Year 3 really enjoyed their handwriting lesson today. We focused on forming and joining the letter 'f'. The children loved coming to the board to practise.

During our KS2 assembly this week, we talked about how important it is to look after our mental health. We talked about this years theme "know yourself, grow yourself" and so children are going to create their own individual self-regulation toolkit. #childrensmentalhealthweek

We have had lots of fun in Year 5 this afternoon creating Alberto Giacometti inspired sculptures made from tinfoil in preparation for using clay next week 🎨🖌️

Today, Year 2 were learning about baptism. We wrote on our laminated hearts something we wanted to say sorry to God for and then rubbed away the pen markings to symbolise God forgiving our sins ✝️

A great morning at Kirkby High School for some of our children, experiencing Boccia for the first time. The children picked up the sport quickly and played some amazing shots. Thank you @KnowsleySSP as always for the opportunities.

Year 2 have been exploring puppets in D&T. So far we have looked at a range of different puppets, practised our stitching and designed our puppet. We cannot wait to create our hand puppets next week. 🤗
