A wonderful celebration event took place this afternoon here at St. Margaret’s Academy. We celebrated being the first school in the authority to recognise our Polish Community’s language skills by presenting them for an SQA in Modern Languages for work purposes in Polish.

Thank you so much for all the donations for our School's Advent Foodbank Appeal. The total weight of all the donations was 219.2kg which equates to 522 meals. So many generous people in our school community, superb effort.

28 of our students had the opportunity to attend SKY Academy today to create a virtual news feed on Climate Change. It was a great experience, first getting into groups, selecting a creative role for each member and then using the sky studios to create the presentation.

Our Senior Students partook in a Climate Change Simulation Event today at Moray House. They represented as World Leaders and negotiated help from countries around the world 🌎. Today is St. Margaret of Scotland’s Feast Day so we finished the day by visiting St. Margaret’s chapel.

It’s the final day of our 1.5 Max Global Climate Change Summit. We met the panel this morning recognising the enthusiasm & creativity of participating groups along with the diversity of each approach to address climate, environmental & sustainability issues facing each country.

Robb Calder (S6) and Annah Amos (S5) travelled to Heriot Watt University today to compete in the Young Musician of the Year contest. Robb was awarded 2nd place in the instrumentalist category and Annah was a very close 2nd in the Vocalist category.
