We will reopen tomorrow for pupils. Never has our motto being more meaningful, 'actions speak louder than words' . We will support our children and families the best we can.
A difficuilt day made easier by an amazing community of staff, children and family members. Sharing nothing but love and compassion. Shining light in the darkness.
Thank you for everyone's support.
Earlier today Jack's classmates led a prayer service at the memorial at Babbs Mill. It was simple but beautiful. We paid our respects through our prayer and silence. These children have been amazing and supported staff in the same way the staff have supported them.
Beautiful tribute to Jack this morning in church as we gathered together for mass. We were joined by Jack's family and our school family. It was very moving. We were joined by a number of visitors including his Grace Archbishop Bernard and members of

On another sad day here at St Anthony's, the sunrise this morning over Babbs Mill.
Shining the light in the darkness continuing to share our love and compassion.
This is a great achievement for our school community and a testament to the hard work of pupils, staff,parents and Governors.

Took a call yesterday telling us that we made
@thetimes
Top 500 list of schools in the country yesterday. What a great achievement for our community and recognition for our pupils.
Lovely to see the things we are proud of in our school reflected in our recent
@Ofstednews
inspection. High standards, a broad curriculum, recognition of staff's dedication and most importantly the values at the heart of the school.

Our school council wanted each class to take part in a litter pick in our local community following the example set by

@LoveSolihull
Today it was Y3 who decided they wanted to clean around Babbs Mill.
When people say staff have six weeks off...staff have been working hard 😓 making sure classrooms are ready for children. Y2 looking fab thanks to Miss Nolan and a few family helpers!
Jack's place on a beautiful morning here at St Anthony's. The willow is blooming. This is such a tranquil space for us to spend time in and reflect.

Our virtue award goes to a pupil who stands out for his consideration for others and his willingness to put others before himself. It is fully deserved Jordan.
So proud of this class today when deciding what to do with their attendance reward money. Lots of ideas and one pupil suggested giving what they had collected to support the homeless. They all voted and every single child voted to donate rather than have a treat.
@BhamDES
A sad day when one of your fantastic pupils leaves your school family. Lots of tears in Year 5.
What a thoughtful leaving gift that will take pride of place in my office. Thank you.
Many thanks to Stanley's Jewellers in the Jewellery Quarter who were moved about how Y6 have been so resiliant this year. They donated chains to each pupil to go alongside our St Anthony medal.
Did you know that Mr Scanlon has a first class maths degree? Well he has just had his time beaten on
@TTRockStars
by this pupil in Y4 who has been trying for months to beat him. Mr S is now locked in his office trying to regain his title! Well done to this pupil such reliance🥇
39 children from
@StAnthonysSch
had a sleepover to support our charity
@Taborhouse365
in Birmingham.
They raised over £1200 - from 39 children....unbelievable. Feel so humbled and proud of all. Truly living out our Saints motto of 'actions speak louder than words'

Lovely to get a letter this morning from
@NickGibbUK
recognising the schools results which put us in the top 3% of primary schools in the country. Well done to all the staff, pupils and parents.
This lad has been to be twice today. Had such a polite and lovely chat. ‘Have a nice weekend Mr Flaherty’ I gave him 5 house points to say well done for being such a great lad. ‘Well done to you too Mr Flaherty for being a great headteacher’. Made my day. 👍
An early Christmas present for everyone at St. Anthony’s from the
@histassoc
Delighted to announce we have been awarded the Quality Mark for History Gold Award 🥇
Congratulations to Miss Owens, the staff and most importantly the children whose work shines through.
Yesterday Y4 took part in the
@CAFOD
Water for life assembly. Straight after these girls donated their pocket money. We have such a generous community. Well done girls, really proud of you. 💧 🌍
Congratulations to our new Wellbeing Warriors at St Anthony's. They have been chosen by their classmates and teachers to support children's mental health across school.
Always nice whe pupils come to visit to share something of their culture. This pupil has come to show me some photos from her visit to ‘The Hill of Crosses’ in Lithuania 🇱🇹
So interesting to find out about this place of pilgrimage.
