When the history of cryptocurrencies and permissionless, decentralized technologies is written decades from now, three events will stand out above all: Bitcoin's creation, Ethereum's creation + smart contracts, and the development of practical zk-proving systems.

People seem to forget capital is an expression of preferences. That's it. So let's develop preferences and goals that represent a positive future for humanity and a continuation of existing identities. Changes need not be aggressively discontinuous.

We must guide humanity safely through multiple failure modes in the coming decade(s?). What awaits on the other side is beyond our wildest dreams. Our time in this game cannot end here, let's not get caught in local battles.
