Spending this New Years Eve caring our #veterans and I had a chance to reflect on an amazing year - hiking the Great Wall of China, giving international lectures, being the ride out team during Hurricane Beryl. Feeling so grateful, and wishing you all a Happy & Healthy #NewYear!

Had so much fun giving a guest lecture in Shanghai at @FudanUni about Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety! Wonderful talking with faculty & students, & hearing their perspectives about the need for rigorous quality metrics. Thank you @EF_Fellows for this traveling fellowship!

So grateful to have the opportunity to give a second guest lecture today in Beijing during the @EF_Fellows traveling fellowship at one of the top medical schools in China @Tsinghua_Uni about #healthcare quality and patient safety! I had so much fun! #EFJourney

Excited to be the guest speaker at the 138th Peking University School of Medicine Medical Humanities Forum in Beijing, China today! Grateful to @EF_Fellows traveling fellowship for this incredible opportunity to discuss our work on improving #healthcare quality & patient safety!

We watched an open heart surgery, saw a cardiac cath, toured a research lab where the world’s lightest LVAD is being developed & met a LVAD patient! Afterwards we got to take the high speed bullet train back to Beijing! Great experience on this @EF_Fellows traveling fellowship!

Riding the high speed bullet train from Beijing to Tianjin! So excited to visit and learn from surgeons at TEDA hospital, one of the premier hospitals in China!

What an incredible day in Beijing with @EF_Fellows - met the brilliant @wenjuan_mi CEO of @TheVIPKIDLife! Thank you Cindy for your gracious kindness & sharing your wisdom with us, and the delicious dinner! Also got to visit @NIOGlobal R&D headquarters and the Olympic Bird’s Nest!

Traveling in Beijing with @EF_Fellows I met Ming Cheung - a fellow Yalie! Had a blast reminiscing about some amazing mentors @ehbvassar @hmkyale @thehowie @Yale @YaleMed @YaleSOM @YaleSPH Can’t wait to visit Ming at @Tsinghua_Uni next week for my guest lecture & catch up again!

So grateful for this @EF_Fellows traveling fellowship! Incredible day visiting Peking University where we chatted with former Peking University President Hao Ping, a former Eisenhower Fellow himself! Also got to explore a bustling Beijing marketplace and taste hundred year eggs!

Hiking the Great Wall in China - such incredible views and so beautiful!!! 😍Such an amazing experience as an @EF_Fellows and what a great way to start this traveling fellowship! Can’t wait to meet some phenomenal surgeons and health care leaders later this week in Beijing!
