The peculiar-located elevator tower was added in Ebbets Field in 40's to serve the press and office areas. It replaced an old stair and was the only spot in the ballpark able to serve all floors w/o interfering with the rotunda and seating decks. #Brooklyn #Dodgers #VirtualEbbets
