Something I've been fleshing out. This project is pretty ambitious for me, since working with camera movement and keyframing has always been a struggle for me. (btw, this is all still pretty rough, only around half of it has been progressed from the original boards)

Using an older anim, I did some experimenting with compositing the impacts. All of these use chromatic displacement and its various settings to change their look. Lemme know what ya think abt it

The way you have it now, it’s kinda retracting back to where it started. To make it dissipate better, have it flow outwards slowly, retracting the whole shape into the outermost part, like this.

1. Draw each dot individually, focusing on timing and spacing of them individually rather than as a whole.
2. Connect one dot to another dot
3. draw 2 cross-over lines
4. fill the whole shape
I also added some change in volume in the dots, which I added to the lineweights.

If you film a movie where most of it is in an apartment, you can just rent an apartment, and it would be cheaper and more time effective. If your movie is shot all over the world, and requires many elaborate sets and time management, then it’s easier and cheaper on green screen

Chris Pratt is a great VA when he’s cast in roles that he actually fits. Like this or guardians, but he’s shoehorned in by executives into roles he doesn’t match so so often that he’s heavily downplayed for the skills he actually has

What’s the point of animating digitally if you don’t even want to use the tools at your disposal out of spite of “skill”? I haven’t tried out blender for BG’s yet but that doesn’t mean I never will. Even if you hate the 3D-ness of the BG, just trace it.

That doesn’t mean you should NEVER use it lol, but you should definitely find a better tutorial than this one if your looking to actually learn. It’s not explicitly bad advice to suggest the airbrush, you just need to understand how to use it first

Voices are usually done in post production, and it takes more time. So, on a rare occasion, it will be recorded pre-production and synced.

The first drawing in 2020 is still one of my favorites ever. I could lose every piece of art I've ever made and I would probably only miss that one.

I’ve always wondered how he adds so much shading detail in each frame. I’d assume there is a trick to it, otherwise it would take like 3 months per cut, but he cranks these out consistently.

10th cut, S38. This was and still is the hardest thing I’ve ever done as an animator, 45+ hours of work right here. No tracing, no 3D or live reference, all I had to go off of for motion was a PVC pipe. I’d do it way differently today though

This project has been a long time coming, and so many people poured their souls into it. I started out as a baby animator on this project, and I owe so much of my progress and skills as an animator to working on it. I hope everyone enjoyed all of our hard work!

I really don’t see where your coming from. There’s plenty of weight and impact, albeit a good chunk from camerashake. But you really can’t expect someone who has a glowing blue aura to 100% adhere to perfect gravity physics when they are literally flying.

A majority of it, though, is that time management part. It would be much faster and more time effective to shoot everything in the same studio than it would be to rent out over 100 locations and make it to all of them in a time and cost effective way.

I would like to make a more lengthy tutorial at some point, breaking everything down piece by piece. Because there’s alot missing here, such as variation in form, shape language, how to actually animate it, ect. But I need to improve my sillouettes and physics first.

It’s pretty ironic, he’s only a “fraud” because he can’t exorcize ghosts and needs mob to do it. Most of the people that show up have problems that are fixable by basic advice, and he helps them. the actual ghosts are handled by mob tho

More subtle than the average mangaka, since the trend in Shonen since the early 2000’s has been to have characters say every thought and feeling out loud so the audience knows what to think at all times. Which might be why misunderstanding denji is so common

Usually an AI will go through all of the frames that weren’t drawn and add a heavy smear frame there that “interpolates” them to appear as a higher framerate. For these videos, usually 60FPS
