Got top 8 in the modern challenge with Esper Reanimator today. Went X-1 in the swiss (losing to

and then losing my first round of top 8. Deck felt great. I really like this version. I'm 98% sure of the MD. SB probably needs work, but I'm not sure where yet.

I managed a top 4 (9-1 in swiss & 1-1 in the top 8) of the super with creativity. It's nice to return back to that deck and still kick butt. I'm happy with my list and stoked to qualify for the RC + some MOCS points. That was a lot of rounds! Got knocked out by a sweet deck too.

Tuned up new pod and got the 5-0! Deck felt great! Best UW Hammer, Jeskai Murktide, Living end, Druid combo, and Reanimator.
Board probably wants more dispute. Maybe -1 veil +1 dispute.

Narrowly missed top 8 on breakers in the legacy showcase. I went 7-2 with hammer. The matches I won were all 2-0, and the losses felt close.

Blood moon seemed great with so much leyline binding in the meta so I revisited ponza. I still think the card murktide (and also shredder) are issues, but this felt pretty reasonable. Felt good to 5-0 with ponza as proof of concept. 8 "spyros" was awesome.

I went 8-2 in the showcase with creativity. The deck continues to feel good. You can certainly lose to scam, but I feel slightly favored vs them and solidly favored vs beans. I lost my first round and tried to rally back. I didn't top 8, but I'm happy with my play and the deck.

Welp. Currently 5-2 in the showcase (so likely out of t8 contention). I just lost a game...to my cat! I had mana in pool and right as I was about to cast breach to t3 combo off, he jumped up and hit my hand causing me to click a 2nd station and lose the game. Deck is cracked tho.

After seeing

I registered Rona combo in Dallas and went on 6-3 today. It's easily the deck I've enjoyed most in the format and it's not bad either.

I'm not going play much pioneer for a bit, but I enjoyed playing Rona combo and I'd recommend it. This is the sb guide I made. I'd cut illness for a counter and on mtgo you need karn/ resevoir over jace.

Got a 5-0 with my new asmo breach brew! My last two matches were silly because I never drew a breach, but it turns out station plus cookbook finds you daredevil and then can mill your opponent out.
Currently 9-1 with the deck. List's still a bit rough. I want SB Prismatic ending

Since I tested for the PT, I kept coming back to a question in how to nuild grinding breach. Saga and ring weren't playing well together and made you vulnerable to hate like moon, but you needed a backup plan. Preordain finally gave me the confidence in the combo to drop saga.

Managed a 5-0 with this sweet deck! The undying evil should be feign death/undying malice because bringing something back twice/ bringing back the hidetsugu happens (btw it turns into a saga when this happens!)

I saw the Crusherbot (not sure their twitter tag) legacy hammer list and decided to try something in a similar vein in a Anniversary play-in and got a 5-0! MUs were 8 cast 2x, Jeskai control, Grixis HCA control, and Mono R Prison. Seems like there could be something here?

I just finished a 12hour streaming stint playing indomitable archon & phoenix in pioneer to almost a 75% winrate. I got a 6-3 in the pioneer super yesterday, 3-2 dropped the modern one and came in 5th in the modern challenge today. I'm deaaaad. Anyway, here's wonderwall.

swiss was today so I queued up with grixis pile and went 6-1. UB lotr pile in general has been missing from the meta and is one of the few decks with a reasonable scam and bean MU. Then I added ragavan so how bad can it be.

My first league back in modern had to be with something interesting and I'd been eyeballing showdown of the Skalds with cat combo. I took inspiration from

Well, that's two weeks in a row of playing challenges and two weeks in a row of getting first in swiss and 5th overall. Not too shabby at all! I played living end. Deck's very powerful, but when people want to hate you out, they just do 🤷. Also that mirror is awful.

I'm in love with this deck. It's saga plan and asmo stuff is a great fair plan and you also just have this unfair reanimation package as well. I've now gone 4-1 with it 3 times in a row.

I played some taxes tonight after a bit of not really playing it. I embraced the mh2 cards and landed on this, getting 2 4-1s (the first version was somewhat worse). The deck surprised me and felt reasonably competitive.

This is my first pass at the new druid combo with collar as a stand-in for Lux. I'm unreasonably amped for this deck to come back. Then again maybe it'll still be bad. The SB I'm sure will need tuning especially since this deck has lots of tutor.

Got a 4-1 into a 5-0 with my new asmo build. Deck feels really good. I'm still not sure about the slot slot in street wraith. I boarded it out a bunch and then tried goose in that slot and boarded it out too. The sb still probably needs tuning, but idk how.

I feel like I'm kind of phoning it in for this RC. I did a lot of prep work with great people, but the new set followed by the bans/unbans made prepping for it very difficult. Still, I'm excited to compete and to hang out with friends in Atlanta. I hope to see folks there!

I wanted to play my goryo pile in the showcase, but after getting beat up by scam in the challenge the day before, I registered a bean pile that should be favored in the bean mirrors---btl. I went 7-3 and was happy with my choice. MU's in comments. Also here's a great screenshot.

I made a take on tibalt cascade by resurrecting a dead deck: GR Eldrazi! I think the decks good. It gets your pseudo oko + and uses temple as a good beatdown back up plan. I sadly ran into the tibalt plus colorless spell bug which my opponents abuses.

I picked up a couple of 4-1s and a 5-0 with my hammer list. I've enjoyed the mortar pod as another threat. I'm not sure if it's worth lowering the consistency of equippers (it was outfitters), but being able to search up a body is nice. Manriki still probably isn't needed.

Preordain coming to modern feels like it has the best home in combo decks. I tried this tonight and it seems like a reasonable jumping off point. While I didn't do that well, it felt powerful.

I went 7-3 in the showcase with pioneer creativity. I also queued for manatraders with it. While I didn't top 8 anything, I've had an impressive run this weekend across formats propped up by creativity and fable of the mirror breaker.

I last minute decided to run the Modern super qualifier with 80 card Jeskai Saheeli last night. I ended up being awake much longer than I originally expected because I top 8ed! losses were to UW miracles (also top8ed) and amulet titan (in the quarters).

I've been working on the Asmo Goryo deck again. I didn't like some things with the more popular lists, but decided to finally squeeze in ovalchase which was great. In fact this league felt more like GB food than goryo. Not all the realest MUs, but 5-0 is a 5-0. I love this deck.
