I made it my goal this set to show everyone how much fun TFT is at every level of the game. I’m so, so frustrated with myself for tonight and for failing to show up when it mattered, but I hope my play this set inspired someone to queue up and have fun in a game of TFT :).

Feels like tft has been moving further and further away from a game I can really fall in love with set to set, but gonna try my best to focus on the aspects I enjoy in set 13 and make the most out of it, very much have the itch for competition.

Managed to eek out a win by changing my KDA Akali 3 into a True Damage Akali 3 to avoid Illaoi counterplay, this set is cool :)

Tomorrow is the start of the biggest tournament of my career to date, and I’m feeling surprisingly calm about it. A bit of nerves and a lot of confidence - I want to show people how sick TFT can be :).

I teamed up with @IntelGaming to bring back MY invitational, and this time with THREE events! The first event will be next week 2/16 at 12PM PST/3PM EST and will have 24 top NA TFT players fight each other in the parking lot for a share of 10k dollars and some amazing gaming

@Mortdog I think it’s mostly just getting harder to stay open for any amount of time more than anything, so often the last couple of sets you have to be hard committed to a single line off the get go or you just fall behind too hard.

What I can say with certainty after last night is that I still have a long ways to go as a player. My mentality after just a couple low-roll games was awful and led to me making a ton of small mistakes. I’m going to keep giving my all to get better at the game I love in set 7!.

@Mortdog I think there’s also been much more focus put on the destination of a board than the journey getting there, mostly in the lack of more flexible carry itemization and early game player damage changes, and I personally really find the early-mid game to be the most interesting.

Been in much more of a funk than I realized after regionals, I still can’t watch the game and feel like whenever I play I’m only half there mentally. Part of me is happy that I feel so strongly about TFT and that it’s capable of making me feel like this, but man LOL.

@Mortdog I think it’s a combination of a lot of things though and not particularly the fault of a single aspect of the game, part of it is that people have just gotten very good at using stats and as a result balance is more comp based than unit based it seems which perpetuates meta.

Now that I’ve slept and had some time to let everything digest I can say that even though I’m disappointed I didn’t win the whole event it feels amazing to set a goal / set expectations for yourself and deliver. Gonna double down on getting better, it’s only up from here :).

Didn’t do too hot in day 3 but it happens! Think I’m gonna take a bit of a break to relax after what was a pretty trying first half of the set. Set 7 hasn’t been my favorite set by any means but I stopped trying to have fun at some point, and it really showed in my play.

People use me as an example of a tournament player who doesn’t care about ladder a ton, and other people use me as an example of someone who’s not actually good at the game because I don’t hit rank 1 every set. Both groups should just watch people play before forming opinions.

Set 6 was a roller coaster for me, feel like I grew a lot as a player, content creator, and person over the course of it. It’s sad to say goodbye to it, but time to prove to myself and to others that it was just the beginning! Gonna be sending a (maybe) 24hr pbe stream tomorrow!.

@Mortdog I’m saying I think a lot kek but my final thoughts on it are that there are definitely still aspects of the game I enjoy and I understand / am happy that the direction makes it an overall better experience for the majority of the player base, I just miss organic cookin.
