With NCAA football and basketball becoming professional sports, the unintended consequences of paying players is starting to be shown. Olympic sports budgets will get cut and and many will eventually go away. Sad thing for all those athletes who got an education paid for.
Ohio State's new leadership has been telegraphing this sentiment. They're gonna slash funding in many of their Olympic sports. I expect many Big Ten teams to do the same...and perhaps even the conference. Few outright sport drops, big scholarship cuts
