Thanks to everyone who made my birthday very special today. The calls, cards, messages, and more have all been read, and I am truly honored and humbled. Thoughts and prayers are not enough. Policy counts. Let’s really see those affected by gun violence and recognize how gun violence affects us all. Then, let's take action. The ban on assault weapons and Karina's Bill, both led by our House Democratic Caucus, are a great start. 💪🏾
