@bennyjohnson 🚨BREAKING: you are a lying sack of shit. Congress approved $300m in the DHS budget to offset costs for housing migrants LEGALLY seeking asylum. The program is administered by FEMA. Funny that DOGE didn’t even bother to check the budget. I guess that spoils the propaganda impact.

@lancelachlan @elonmusk @DOGE What people fail to grasp is that the funds in question are part of the DHS budget to offset costs for communities that are housing asylum seeking migrants. The program is administered by FEMA but it is not part of their budget.

@rockytfs @BeeInZee @elonmusk @DOGE Actually, cities/states are putting asylum seeking migrants (legal) in hotels because there is nowhere else to house them. Congress approved funds in the DHS budget to help fund the cost. The program is administered by FEMA and must be used for the purpose intended by Congress.

@MrsNesbitt17 @elonmusk @DOGE FEMA can only spend funds for the purpose appropriated by Congress. This money was approved for this use by Congress as part of the DHS budget. It is administered by FEMA. The money is for housing asylum seeking migrants (legal). Only Congress can change that.

@pjd3733 @matt_vanswol I can explain it. It’s money approved by Congress as part of DHS’ budget and it is administered through FEMA. It is for displaced migrants in the US seeking asylum. You might not like it but that’s what Congress approved.

@matt_vanswol They weren’t illegal immigrants, that’s how. The were migrants legally admitted into our country as asylum seekers from countries like Afghanistan and Haiti. There are more than 64,000 migrants in the city. It’s also a program approved by Congress.

@SeldenGADawgs @elonmusk @DOGE FEMA stole nothing. These funds were appropriated by Congress for exactly this purpose. These individuals are migrants who were admitted legally and who have been granted asylum or are under protected status

@lsferguson You morons will believe anything. President Trump has no power to stop funds that were already approved by Congress. This is money appropriated to DHS and administered by FEMA.

@JDVance Just like Presidents aren’t allowed to control the legislature’s legitimate power. His actions are blatantly unconstitutional and his authoritarian attempt to usurp Congressional power is unprecedented. Only Congress has power of the purse and can dictate immigration law.

@KingOffX_ @JDVance And Trump is blatantly violating the powers granted by the Constitution to the Executive branch. He is not allowed to reorganize governmental agencies with out Congressional approval. He is also not allowed to withhold any funds that Congress has already approved.

@JDVance Hey JD, read the Constitution. If the President tries to dictate to Congress how to spend money they’ve already appropriated, that’s illegal.. If a President tries to reorganize the government without getting Congressional approval to do so, that’s also illegal.

@mohawkcrypto @LauraLoomer No, the reality is that his entire life Trump has been a vindictive prick who seeks “revenge” at even the smallest slight.

@PekeTzu @Diane_Jackson7 @GuntherEagleman Trump is a mushroom dicked vindictive snowflake who can’t take any slight without feeling he needs revenge. He’s also crapping all over the Constitution and its separation of powers concept which is basically the foundation of our country’s system of government.

@GrandmaBunner @Diane_Jackson7 @GuntherEagleman Cool, you must have zero respect for the Constitution if that’s the case.

@BobCumbers666 @snobound @mjfree Every federal employee has an ID and it is openly displayed. It is what is used to gain access to the place where you work. The fact that he is OUTSIDE the doors to enter the building is another give away.
