@Purdin The Outlook app does still let you turn off “New” mode, which will add back the AppleScript support that SpamSieve needs. Microsoft currently says December 2024 (, though it’s possible they will postpone again.

@jvh0088 No other customers are reporting this problem with the new version. In 20 years I have only ever seen this occur due to file ownership/permissions/link problems on the Mac. That’s why I recommend sending the diagnostic report so I can look into what might be wrong with teh files.

@jvh0088 If you are getting the Welcome alert *after* you did train, it sounds like something is messed up with your macOS files, not related to the SpamSieve app file or the new version. If you send in a diagnostic report I can give you more specific advice:

@jvh0088 The alert about the menu bar icon not being visible is only shown once. If you are seeing this multiple times, it suggests that SpamSieve’s preferences file is being deleted or perhaps that there’s a file permissions problem preventing it from being saved.

@jvh0088 Thanks for sending the screenshots. SpamSieve shows the Welcome window and help if you have not trained it with at least one good message and one spam message. This will happen for fresh installations as well as if SpamSieve’s files are deleted.
