The neonatal team at SALHN relies on a strong support network when caring for about 1,450 babies admitted each year, with around 250 requiring intensive care. “While this day is about neonatal nurses & midwives, the team of NNU are made up of so many & everyone is valued.”

#CancerNursesDay is a chance to celebrate the strong, skilled & specialised work our nurses at SALHN do, caring for patients with cancer. 70 dedicated cancer nurses at FMC treat inpatients on Ward 5G, Haematology Oncology & outpatients through the Flinders Infusion Suite.

Congrats to Cardiology Senior Consultant, Prof Bill who is retiring soon after 50yrs pioneering cardiac care, saving thousands of lives with his skill, curiosity & generosity as a mentor. In 2022, he was recognised in #AustraliaDay Honours for significant service to cardiology.
