@timprebble Where did you get it? Have been searching for DIY plans to build one but considering buying premade.

@JimmyHillside Profound indeed... a few philosophical thoughts come to mind. Silence is required to make music. It's a key ingredient. Music is the only artform that does not exist in the spatial world. It completely exists in the mind. The only artform living in the spiritual plane.

@sarahb_paw Aside from convenience, what is special about using Connect? Why not just dig into clips via standalone and then refresh the PT project? RX Connect was buggy for me v01 and easy to work w/out Also... what changed in the system to break it? Pro Tools update? RX update?

@jeffpeff That's what I'm running into. The board we use has a VIBE but the maintenance is an issue... and it's obscure. But... in A-B listening tests we're struggling to find a good investment that sounds better.

@gabrpulcinelli You know... you can just convert the files. You don't have to "render" the EP again.

@musicthing I love seeing this product refresh. But... they're still money grubbing. Look at this cheap ass accessory bag for $89. Some drugs are hard to quit.

@grantsharpies Did you counter their offer at the start of negotiations? That's the first path to better pay. I don't do things for what is offered. I ask for what I want and explain why it's worth it. Often people can, will, would pay more... but their not going to if they don't have too

@Vordio The printed words don't align with Ted's statement. This feels sort of panicked and not well read to the language in the picture.

@StephenCShapiro The cost is so much less per machine that depreciation isn't a factor. A $12,000 Mac Pro is slower than a $4,000 custom PC (measuring per CPU+RAM+Storage) It's that drastic a difference cost wise.

@jamie_hardt The first scenario is exactly what this person said was happening. Tragic...

@jamie_hardt Worse.... they want revisions and then an orchestra session to see if you're a fit for the project.

@JordanFehr Another view on what it's learning: The vast majority of music on AJ or P5 isn't "art" but strict commerce. It was music made to serve a corporate need and mostly based on unoriginal ideas and regurgitated performances. The quality differences were in the production skill.

@JordanFehr Controversial, but long as they pay I'm taking the money. Those websites are generic music made for corporate usage. Not art. Anyway the most valuable thing to AI training in these early days is the Metadata. Might as well get paid. Not participating will do nothing to help us.
