I’ve been battling through my excruciating lower back pain lately, but I’m finally going in for surgery in the afternoon. I’m feeling quite nervous. Hoping it brings some much-needed relief, as this constant pain has been incredibly draining both physically and emotionally.

Thanks Amanda, I’m glad you got out too. Yeah my daughter was 2 at the time. A week after we escaped, she actually said to me ‘Mummy don’t worry, daddy can’t hurt you anymore. I’ll take care of you.’ I cried at the time, but thankfully she doesn’t remember anything now. x

I’ve been struggling to walk around for the last couple of days and I’ve tried so hard to stay mentally strong. But I gave up and broke down in tears this morning. I hate feeling sorry for myself 😤 I’m at the gym now… going to try and strengthen my back. Wish me luck 🤞🏼

It was switched off most of the time, but very occasionally I might have forgotten or he’d arrive home unexpectedly. He hacked into my work pc’s, had keyboard loggers on the home pc, I couldn’t even send an email or google for help. So a hidden pay as u go phone was essential.

Surgery went well and I’m recovering at home. I was feeling ok yesterday, just a bit sore and weak. But I’m in a lot of pain today. So much that I feel as though I’m going to pass out. My medicine isn’t helping so I’ve asked for morphine.
