I also have this comic - I had actually sketched this out around the same time as the original drawing, just took me a bit to polish it up. It's ironic that having a slight resistance to their honey only makes you that much more desirable to the Hive.

1) The Queen bee is a literal giant alien bee. She is VERY fluffy. 2) If you request something of 2 or more bees, they will use each other to stay on track and reject it. However, if you get one alone they are more likely to be agreeable, as they can't think for themselves.

3) Bees subdue their targets with high frequency sounds from their vibrating wings, but there needs to be at least two of them to surround their prey or it only makes the person dizzy. Due to the last two reasons, Bees rarely travel alone.
