@Scottrhawk555 @elonmusk I agree that there’s no reason for US taxpayers to fund it. Which they’re not now, because the plug’s been pulled on USAID, affecting many hundreds of charitable causes around the globe, not just this one.

I didn’t question the rights or wrongs of USAID funds being granted to the charity BBC Media Action. That’s a whole other debate. I just want people to be aware that funds going to the charity BBC Action Aid do not go to the BBC broadcasting arm, which is funded solely through the licence fee in the UK, and advertising in some overseas territories.
