@eyeslasho USAID is where the payouts to the deep state come from while acting as a multiplier to any pushback against other cuts. It's the control panel of overall corruption. Even if it doesn't have the highest dollar amount attached to it, it's the linchpin to the bulk of gov corruption.

@Aneka15amyth @eyeslasho No, I think they currently *are* based on race/sex, regardless of whether or not they should be. Pointing out the different inputs that result in different outputs is how you fight against equity positions and support equality positions.

@Aneka15amyth @eyeslasho Because things like admissions and scholarships are based on race. Pointing things like this out highlight why equity and equality result in different outcomes, so it's important for people fighting against equity in favor of equality.

@cenkuygur Because the details in the depths of the Treasury is where a lot of the bodies are buried. You might want to stay a little more up to date.

@ozols_aldis @X_atgku @DJSnM Hey @elonmusk, you have the opportunity to make a meme for the history books.

@robinhanson You're basically describing Joe Rogan, Lex Fridman, and several other popular podcasters.

@Stop_Just_Stahp @Plinz @jkbjournalist @dix_di79430 So the issue with the DOGE team having access to sensitive financial data is that they aren't publicly publishing said sensitive financial data? I think you may want to go back and check the math on that one.

@wanyeburkett As long as a fast food worker is capable of processing your transaction or accurately delivering your order, you couldn't tell the difference between 200 IQ and 70. Those differences don't become apparent until you have an actual (not small talk) conversation with someone.

@robinhanson They drop the "people who disagree are evil" thing pretty quickly in the show and then they bring Ainsley in to really force the characters to get over themselves and change for the better, though only to a believable degree.

@Dreamsinger1997 @Rothmus The 10th amendment is ignored almost as much as the 3rd (meant to be a right to privacy/lack of monitoring).

@robinhanson Who is "we"? The most popular podcasts in the world, e.g. Rogan, are very explicitly a conversation rather than interview format. People seem to be voting very strongly with their time/attention for conversations over interviews.

@robinhanson Likely missing key background information. It's two pronged. 1 to break the back of globalist fascism (Mussolini definition, not Godwin's law). 2 Prepare for, maybe prevent, WW3 (also why he wants control of Canada, Greenland, Panama canal) through insourcing/weakening enemies.

@walterkirn Not until the current confirmations are done or people might get ideas. You have a whole bunch of powerful people colluding to keep Americans sick to line their own pockets. You wouldn't want them to vote for the people's interests rather than the money's interests would you?

@robinhanson It shows government functioning in an idealized way with (at the time) far-left utopian politics. Now most positions get labeled alt-/far-right. Smug but earnest with great banter. Highly recommended if you can enjoy something without necessarily agreeing with its politics.

@tafphorisms It was likely the invention of television. For the first time the people who saw themselves as the most moral, ethical, civilized people on the planet got irrefutable proof of how detestable their behavior actually was. Colonialism collapsed and Europe retreated from relevance.
