For a time, I couldn't stop the tears, but this time the tears were happy and relieved to have tangible proof that I was still valued. My team ripped me out of my slump, we got a bit of grinding in this past week or so, and we landed our 2nd Top 32 placement EVER as a result.

I told them I was going to quit Splat, and was looking into pass transfer for LTC. They responded with an outpouring of love and support the likes of which most of us reserve only for family...and something equally soft and loving inside of me was resuscitated.

Far too often, prolonging my own death is an actual, active struggle that I have w my own brain. I've been giving so much of my heart, mind, and body to Splatoon 3. Losing sleep, eating poorly, etc. It finally came to a head this month.

Been in danger of losing my job, been largely absent from friend and family stuff, and pretty much completely put Splat aside while I was bedridden and trapped in my own thoughts. Until last week, when I came clean to my family, my friends, and my team about what I was feeling.

Because the LUTI Seeding Council isn't hearing this nearly as much as they should, I think our Div is spot on, and my only regret is not getting better results etched in stone prior to the season.

Our fourth major was a rousing success, and was by far the most fun and fulfilling one yet, both on the Splattlefield and off.
We were shocked and amazed that so many of you wanted to talk with us, and we hope you all know that the love and support goes both ways.

The greatest benefit of LAN tournaments is the burst of energy and motivation they provide as they yank you from your adult tedium and thrust you into a world where the game is everything. For those of us where Splatoon is our primary time sink, LANs are a sweet nirvana.
The Whiprays competed in our 4th LAN Tournament as a team at Genesis X this weekend, finishing in 3rd place in Silver Bracket! We were thrilled to be featured on stream not once, but twice; including our first streamed set win at a major LAN!
