The reality is this does not erase the original. It still exists. Fan art won’t ever change that. The irony of it all is most of the illustrators behind these works ARE working hard bringing their own stories to life, that WILL properly represent them, their values, and culture

That said, I really don’t think it’s a reason to trip about anything. The original characters are still here, as well as other characters you feel already represent us. Fan art is fan art. As long as it’s not done in ignorance and ill intent, there’s really no issue here

You’re entitled to your opinion but for the record that was a deliberate choice because I think bobs like that are pretty, and black women rock them flawlessly. I’m not one to shy away from different hairstyles in my characterart when it comes to black women either. Oc or not.
