**Monday 12:30pm: Updated Possible Rain& Mountain Snow Amounts for entire event 3am Wednesday-9pm Friday** Several waves of moderate to heavy rain and mountain snow will occur during this 72 hour period with the heaviest rain associated with a potent cold front Thursday Night when some Thunderstorms also look Possible. There is still a spread in possible rain amounts with the GFS once again only showing half the rain amounts vs every other model, so chances are high its in correct. There is some major flooding/Debris flows concerns for all our burn areas but especially the #EatonFire & #PalisadesFire burn areas, residents need to prepare for evacuations. Winds also look strong Thursday with gust up to 80mph+ in our mountains. This moisture will also make it into our lower deserts with flooding possible in the Coachella Valley from heavy rain and a high amounts of mountain rain runoff flowing through the desert floor. Snow levels will be a Rollercoaster ride starting near 5000ft Wednesday morning, rising to 6000-7000ft Wednesday night, then 7000-8000ft Thursday, before falling back to 5500ft Friday. Resorts which are at and above 7000ft should see a few feet of snow with lesser but still significant amounts above 6000ft for the Big Bear/Running Springs region. Flooding will occur Thursday due to fesh snow between 5500-6500ft from Wednesday melting and adding to runoff Thursday. Snow levels will be a very close call for Big Bear Thursday night, just a shift of 500 ft could have huge impacts on snow amounts so folks in the mountains need to prepare for anything! -West of Mountains- SB/VTU: 2.5-5"+ LA/OC: 1.75-4"+ IE: 1.50-3.5"+ SD: 1.25-2.5"+ -Mountains - Rain: 2.5-8"+ below 6000ft Snow: 2-4ft+ abv 8000ft 1-2.5ft+ abv 7000ft 8-16"+ abv 6000ft(mostly Wednesday&Friday) 3-6"+ abv 5500ft(mostly Wednesday Am &Friday Am) -Deserts- High: 1-2"+ Low: .75-1.5"+ #CAwx #Rain #Snow #Thunderstorns #AtmosphericRiver

@Excelsiorguy38 @Tfireprivate It can happen anytime during our wet season between October and May. But are most typical during winter.

@Tfireprivate Because it's a Pineapple Express which us the term that's been used for a Century but now the scientific term is an Atmospheric River. A typical winter storm has no moisture connection to Hawaii.
