BAT on #ITCHotels stake: Discussed at the post-results analyst meet: CEO Tadeu Marroco: BAT has no interest in becoming a long-term shareholder of a hotel chain in India. And as a consequence, at the right moment, when we decide the best time to maximise shareholder value, we will be divesting. Will be using the proceeds to ensure that we get to the leverage corridor of 2.5 and 2 by 2026. Alert: The group’s direct stake in ITC Hotels is 15% Alert: BAT is the single largest shareholder in ITC. As of 13 Feb closing price, BAT’s stake in ITC Hotels is valued at ~Rs 5,302 cr.

Alert: Around 4000 merchants received the email from Swiggy on Feb 11. -Email says collection fee to be effective from February 16, 2025, to facilitate seamless customer payments. -Collection fee will be deducted from select partners’ payouts. -Restaurant body NRAI held discussions with Swiggy on the issue. -NRAI says 90% of merchants already pay the payment gateway fees, mail sent to remaining 10%. -Collection fee likely to be a commercial negotiation for Swiggy with partners.

Remains above ₹26,000 cr for 2nd straight month Mid and smallcap schemes see strong flows for 6th month. Sectoral funds see inflows of ₹9k cr vs ₹15k cr MoM. Jefferies initiates coverage on #ITCHotels with a Buy rating, TP at Rs 240. ITC Hotels is the #2 listed hotelier, has an owner/operator model, a net cash balance sheet, with diversified brand/geo presence. It is currently ramping up recent greenfield projects (~20% of keys) and now adding rooms via mgmt contracts. Peg ITCH's EBITDA/PAT to grow at 16%/19% CAGR over FY24-FY27e. ITCH trades at 20x FY27 EV/EBITDA, a 25%+ discount to 27x for IHCL, which can narrow. Co has also recently constituted a board with 50% independent directors.

#Bajaj to foray into Hospitals🚨 Bajaj Dynasty Is Said to Earmark $1 Billion for Hospital Chain - Bloomberg Bajaj Group has earmarked 100 billion rupees as an initial investment to establish a chain of hospitals in India. The conglomerate plans to invest the sum in phases to build out a network of affordable and high-class hospitals and health-care facilities. The hospital business will initially be led by Nirav Bajaj, son of Bajaj Auto Chairman Niraj Bajaj, although the launch date has not been disclosed.
