Dudes been playing baseball since February, but heads off to play in a winter league.
And yet here we are telling kids to Train and that Burnout is a thing. It’s comical. Baseball players want to play baseball! You don’t get burned out on something you love
Guys. This is a high major D1 coach recommending Juco for “a majority” of baseball players. I get it. We want the label, but unless you’re a draft pick out of HS, you’re not beating out that 21 year old that has been in the system or transfers into the program.
Things that don’t matter once you step on campus this fall.
1) Your Perfect Game Ranking
2) Your All American/State/Conference Accolades
3) What travel ball team you played for
4) Your Offers
Come ready to Compete! You’re now at the bottom of the totem pole again.
Transfer Portal athletes…be honest with your metrics …if you post that you’re 88-91 and get to campus at 84…you’ve wasted a year, because you won’t play.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
Baseball Unwritten Rule

Never play catch/pepper/Fungoes in front of dugout!
Reasoning: Those areas get a lot of traffic and the grass is extremely hard to grow there. Respect the field.
Three Rivers College. D1 Juco in Missouri. Still looking to finalize our roster for the fall. Slide into my DM’s if you’re looking for a spot!

If Jalen Hurts can be excited about a freshman having success after stealing his job in the national championship, what’s your excuse for being selfish about your playing time?

Are you looking for a commitment or a career? Committing to the best label gets you instagram likes. Committing to the program that’s going to invest in making you better gets you a career.
“Transfer Portal” athletes.
1) There is no transfer portal for JC or NAIA
2) If leaving a JC, make sure you mention whether you’re released or not.
3) mention whether you’re looking for a new JC home or just 4 year options. Saves us both time.
If you’re in the

Dress before you enter field. Change in parking lot. Keep shirts buttoned and tucked in until you change. No Flip Flops/Crocs/Slides
If I’m a college baseball player in this transfer portal world. I’m viewing schools/levels like a pro player views the minor leagues.
You’d rather be in Low A/High A getting consistent innings/at-bats than in AA playing once every 2 weeks.
Really appreciate

If you K, walk back to the dugout. Don’t run.
Reasoning: It’s embarrassing. It’s part of it. No one needs you to show fake hustle running back to the dugout because you’re embarrassed of your result.
Just received a recruiting video from a recruiting service that showed nothing baseball related. Just 4 mins of a player lifting weights...this is not the way fellas.
The Juco route is not a lesser road than the four year route. It’s just a quicker way to get into professional baseball. Someone aged 19-20 in A ball is going to get more chances than someone who is 21-22.
Out of the Drafts 1217 Picks, 76% (924) those were College guys.
Out of that 924, 280 had some tie to the

D1 Juco in Missouri looking for 4 year transfer arms for Spring semester. In our 2020 class we need to add a catcher and arms. Scholly money available for in both classes.
If you’re serious about your collegiate baseball career, playing in a quality summer league is about to be important. The first move on transfer portal kids is looking at their stats on
Baseball Reference and then Synergy.
Does the stuff match, do the numbers match
Remember student athletes, your job as a pitcher is to hit your peak velocity in May during the postseason, not December. A lot of unnecessary risks being taken right now.
Once you step foot on campus, you’re in the top 7% of all HS players in the country. This is a huge accomplishment. Now you have to find a way to be in the top 7% of college players. Each new level demands increased development(step your game up).
Once you arrive on campus it doesn’t matter how many offers you had, what you were rated, what your high school accolades were or even how big your scholarship is. What matters is your production on and off the court/field to prove that you give your team the best chance to win.
If you’re a college baseball player who’s unwilling to work constantly on your game and you have dreams of playing professional baseball......Remember Juan Soto is 20. He’s a college Sophomore in the big leagues. Use your time wisely.

Gloves are on the way! Excited to get these custom Marucci fielding gloves in the players hands. Honored to work with such a great program and can’t wait to see the players put them to work!
We’re still actively searching for guys for this incoming fall. Slide into my DM’s. D1 JC in Missouri. Great facilities in a strong Region. Plenty of D1 and Pro player alumni.

Neat little ranking for
@3rbaseball
First RPI ranking I’ve ever seen for juco. Raiders come in, in the top 30 for strength of schedule. Best start to a season in 15 years while playing good competition. Gotta keep it rolling!
@_TheJBB
Raiders baseball finishes the spring semester with a team GPA of 3.24. 23/34 guys with a 3.0 or better. 12 guys above a 3.5. Proud of everyone’s hard work!
@3rsports
Getting recruited significantly correlates to the quality of your tools. Playing at the college level depends on how quickly you can figure out how to use these tools.
5 pitchers, 2 offers available. Who do you recruit?
86,87,88,89,90 mph on each arm.
You can’t. Metrics are great, but there’s always more to the story.
There will be a ton of 95 mph arms with 8 ERA’s this spring and a ton of 86 mph arms with sub 4’s.
Compete!
Baseball community issue that needs tackling. You can’t be a coach that preaches development and individualization if you won’t allow your Pitchers/Catchers to call their own game. Major contradiction
Something that I think we’re missing in the velocity/control debate on the mound. We’re chasing a line. Too much intent at 90, no strikes. Too less intent at 82, no outs. We’re trying to get somewhere in the middle IMO. It’s a sliding scale with command vs velo.
It’s August 8. My players report on August 10-11. Classes start on Monday. Someone please tell me how
1) 5 kids hit the portal today
2) I’m still seeing “uncommitted looking for a place this fall. Just want an opportunity” …..
Big Leaguers are unhappy they’re not getting paid more, Minor league guys want to be Big Leaguers, D1 guys want be at bigger D1’s, Juco guys want to be D1 guys, guys at each level want to start. Happiness is a choice. Enjoy the process.
Three Rivers Baseball fall showcase will be October 6, 10:00am for pitchers/catchers. 12:00pm for position players. More information is on our website.
@3rsports
@AaronRozek
Disagree. We’ve had multiple hitters not play over the summer and the majority have come back worse. You can’t replicate game at bats.
Arms are different. If you’re an 83 mph strike thrower, go to a facility and develop. If you’re 90 and have a 12 ERA, go learn how to pitch.
It’s a great time to be a part of Raider Nation. New softball and baseball upgrades starting this week. Why wouldn’t you want to be part of this?!
#jointheship
New Semester starting. Hoping our guys worked on the important things this offseason. Hitting, Lifting, and most importantly finding quality walkout songs.

I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and baseball career at SEMO! I can’t thank my family, coaches, and teammates enough for all of their support along the way! Go RedHawks!

“If you don’t like it, play better” This is a big leaguer facing the same struggles mentally many college players are. You have the option. You can complain and feel sorry for yourself, or take ownership of your career and force the hand of the people controlling the lineup.
World Series Champion Chris Coghlan shared some wisdom with the 2020 Rebs at the Baseball Performance Center tonight. Always great to have the

This. So many “gurus” trying to teach 16-19 year old kids to specifically do one thing, whether it be hit Homeruns or whatever. Find barrel. If you can find Barrel 10/10 times, you’re doing well.
HITTERS: Your top focus to become a great hitter is to simply barrel the baseball. Once you can do that consistently- regardless if that's in the air, on the ground, or on a line- you'll be able to learn how to drive the ball and do damage because you have the hardest part down.
I have no issue with this. What I do have issue with is 1)he missed the take sign. 2) the thousands of hitting gurus who are going to start telling HS and College kids to swing 3-0 all the time.
Fernando Tatis Jr. smacked a grand slam on a 3-0 count with a big lead, leading to criticism from both managers.
What do you think about this unwritten rule in baseball?
