Coming from someone who worked with KJ isnβt the same as Scientists (like me) who actually worked in bottom rung, and saw nothing change. We asked for more permanent positions in KKM and MOSTI, better salaries, access to PhD scholarships and research grants. We saw nothing.
As a scientist working directly with him in MOSTI, he has done a lot. DSTIN 2021-2030 and 10-10 MySTIE was launched based on a study by ASM to increase the KDNK to RM3.4 mil by 2030. These are currently driving all the other science policies, even DBN 2.0.

I remember in MRSM we had a workshop to teach us how to draft CVs, prepare for scholarship interviews, and there were periodical reminders of deadlines for scholarships. A good part of Form 5 was geared towards securing scholarships.
