Never forget that these Spurs were up by 25 points against the Dubs on the road in GM 1 of the WCF when Zaza stepped under Kawhi’s foot and changed the trajectory of an NBA franchise. Not only would the Spurs have won this series, Kawhi likely would’ve never left SA.

Says who, you? The Warriors had Durant and were 67-15 that year. The Spurs were the 2nd seed at 61-21 and had beat the Warriors in 2 out of the 3 regular season meetings that year, both times by more than 20 points. It wasn’t by any means a lock that the Dubs would have won.

That achilles one is obviously legendary. But my favorite Kobe memory, in terms of his toughness, was when he dislocated his finger against my Spurs, had Gary Vitti pop back into place, and went right back into the game.
